JAKE
I knew she was going to block me out again but I had to try and use the opportunity. I knew I failed when she abruptly stood up and walked towards the doorway as if she hadn't heard me. she stopped at the exit and turned to me without making eye contact.
" I'll pay you back as soon as I can." She said in a slightly shaky voice and left. I might have been ignored but there was something I found out, she really had a nightmare, and judging by the look of panic on her face when I asked her to tell, it was haunting her.
I was going to find whatever it was out and make it go away. I felt my chest tighten as I gulped down the remaining water in the bottle. I was going to do everything to protect what was mine.
