"So how did you feel on that day after witnessing two murders? I know it must have been a traumatic event for you". Mary said.

"It indeed was" Adonis answered, "especially the thoughts of loosing my mother on that day. But Emma was there for me to help me over come it, she never left my side".

"That is the reason you love her so much, she deserves all the love you show to her".

"Exactly....." Adonis said.

"After she took me and fled that city, we were always going from one thatched house to the other, living from hand to mouth. Sometimes I would watch my grandmother beg in the streets in order to give make sure I had something to eat".

Mary took his hand and squeezed it, she never would have believed that Adonis had gone through such hardship as a child.

"Emma sacrificed a lot for me, she later started doing menial jobs so she was able to afford to pay for a small place in the outskirts of the city".
