Mary was taken aback by what she saw on the sky, she looked back at the object in her hand again, it was a ring, and it looked expensive. Mary felt like she was dreaming, this could be one of those her countless fantasies that she had always thought would never come to pass. She quickly looked back at Adonis and saw him walking towards her with a smile on his face. He got close to her and took the ring from her hand. "Will you marry me" he voiced out. Mary was perplexed beyond description, she could not believe what her ears were hearing. She slowly pinched herself to be sure she was not dreaming. Adonis laughed as he saw her pinch herself. "I guess I should help you do that" Adonis said and pinched her arm softly. "Ouch!" Mary exclaimed laughing. "Now tell me" Adonis said. "Will you marry me". "Yes!" Mary nodded excitedly, she could not control her excitement, Adonis himself could not control the smile that spread out on his face as he slid the ring into her finger.
"Ahhhhh!" Mia screamed as she saw the ring on Mary's finger, this time around Mary did not try to stop her from screaming, she allowed her scream out her lungs even though everyone in the restaurant were now watching them. "You mean you are getting married to Adonis Scott? How could so much happen within such a short period?" Mia asked surprised. "Even I have no idea" Mary said with a smile as she looked at the ring in her finger. "I have no idea either". "Would you make me your chief bridesmaid?" Mia asked with a smile. "Of course Mary said" They talked happily about random things, and how beautiful Mary's wedding would be. Mary herself was anticipating the wedding, she could not wait to see how beautiful her wedding would be. They had already started preparations for the wedding, and it was even like a double celebration for Mary because Clay also got a big contract that would change the life of his company forever and make it known."What do you think about this?" Mia
“You are the only one I’d ever love, yeah you, if it’s not you it’s not anyone . . . .” Mary reached out her hand and turned off her phone alarm before Justin Bieber could sing the next line. She knew if she let him, then his sweet voice would just send her back to sleep – and then what would be the use of the alarm. It was a new day, new week, yet there was no new excitement. She still had her old problems. Her rent was going to be due next month, her on again, off again car had crash for what she thought was the final time, even her mechanic had asked her to go get a new one – and she was down to her last ten dollars. She honestly couldn’t even afford to pay for her own lunch if she decided to eat out with colleagues. Her only saving grace was that she had her house stocked with food when she got her last paycheck. So now, she needed to get home everyday before she could eat. “I so don’t blame all the forty year olds living in their parents basement.” She said to no one in
Mary still couldn’t believe her luck. She, Mary Wilberforce was waiting for a Maybach to pick her up and take her to the residence of Adam Scott. The Adam Scott! Her heart kept pounding till she felt her breasts were going to pop out from her very low cut crimson sun dress. The dress had been Taylor’s idea, but Coleman had paid for a complete make over for her. She had been taken to an expensive salon for her hair, got a whole new wardrobe of clothes, the Daily Trust had even paid for spa treatment for her. According to Coleman, the filthy rich only respected the rich, and Adonis wouldn’t even give Mary the time of day if she ran over to his house looking like a gutter rat – yep! That’s what he thought of her looks. A grey haired but agile looking gentleman with a tuxedo Mary was sure cost her entire salary for a year walked up to her to let her know her ride had arrived, and Mary strutted off, trying her best to look rich and efficient. She did feel rich – just not so effic
“This way please Ms. Wilberforce.” An elderly woman stepped into the room and gestured for Mary to follow her. The woman’s eyes did a once over, and from the way her upper lip curled up in disdain, Mary could tell the older woman didn’t approve of her. Shrugging, she followed in the woman’s wake. She could care less about what a fellow servant thought of her. The woman led her forward, into a room that was such an anachronism, it looked like it had been picked out from the previous century. The room itself was made of wood – or wood plaited, and the floor was covered in what she could only assume was rich Persian rug the color of red wine. The antiques and carvings were also very impressive, and so was the huge French window that overlooked what looked like a garden -- Mary could not see it better from the angle she stood. In front of the window, a very small frail looking woman stood looking out. Before Mary could speak, the woman turned and pinned her with arresting Mid nig
A maid showed Mary to her room, promising to give her a tour around the house the next morning.Mary's mouth hung open the moment she got to the room, the room though not as exquisite as the rest of the house, was quite fancy — at least way better than her house, and even her parents house at Ohio. The bed was more than twice the size of the bed she was used to sleeping on, she wondered how it would feel like having such a big bed all to herself. It did not take long after her head hit the pillow before she goes into Dreamland. The next morning Mary was still in unbelieve, it almost still felt like a dream that she was in Adonis's mansion. Especially when he had brought his lips to hers the previous day. The maid who had showed her to her room the previous night had started to give her a tour around the house, if she was going to work there she needed to get familiarized with the environment.Mary Wondered if Adonis had gone out since the house seemed quiet save for the sound tha
Mary wondered what wrong she must have done by asking about Adonis mum.She was deep in thought as she sat on the bed in her room. What could have happened to his parents? and why were they not in the house?Perhaps they had a different house where he goes to visit that. But she highly doubted. Why was he so mysterious anyways?Mary was determined to find out each and every single thing about this mysterious man. Not just because she wanted to publish it, but also because she was curious about Knowing more about him. She could not get much sleep that night, she was awake most of the night trying to come up with a way to get Emma to warm up to her.She figured she needed to make Maggi like her first then she could warm her way to Adonis heart, and that way she would be able to extract as much information as she wanted from him. Then a thought occured to her. Since Emma was his grandma, then she would know much about him, especially the whereabouts of his parents. It would not b
Mary's heart started to beat faster as he drew even more close, she could now feel the warm air from his nostrils on her delicate face. He slowly lifted his hand to her chin and pulled her face even closer. She was now breathless, she tried so hard to control the moan that was about to escape from her lips. She wondered what he was up to, and why he was torturing her that much. Was he about to kiss her again? She could feel the heat burning on her face and she was certain that they were as red as fresh tomatoes. He brought his face even closer until his lips were just inches away from her ear. And then running his thumb gently on the side of her face just close to her lips he whispered into her ears "you've got flour on your face" before he finally pulled back and rested on the arm of the chair still smiling. Mary lifted her hand to wipe her face, the exact same place he had just touched. She felt so embarrassed. "No need" "Huh!" "No need to try wiping it off, I alrea
