"So why did you still chose to keep me after you found out?"

"Well..." He took another sip from his glass of wine while staring at her. "I kind of noticed you were making progress with my grandmother, so I choose to let you stay. Hoping you would see the good in me and forfeit your mission"

Mary lowered her eyes, she felt even more ashamed of herself once again.

"Do you want to know another reason I choose to let you stay at all cost?"

Mary shook her head.

"Well just like I told you the first day we had met, you are so lovely. You were lovely the first day I saw you, and you still are now" a smile broke out on his face. "It would only take a person with a stone heart not to fall in love with you".

On hearing that, Mary immediately dropped the glass of wine she was about taking a sip from and looked up at him sharply.
