Riley was nice enough to assist us with my request. He gave us two hours, and although it was short, it was enough for now. It was also for Alexa’s safety, as he had explained to her. He didn’t want any of his people to find out that he let in a rogue within their territory and allowed her to roam around.

After dinner, we were shown the rooms that were assigned to us at the next building nearest to the pack house. Although two rooms were given, I placed my duffel bag in the room assigned to Alexa.

Aside from the fact that I wanted to spend time with her, there was no way I would let her out of my sight and my arms tonight. I trusted Riley, but I didn’t trust anyone else. Alexa was too important for me to slack off on her security.

Alexa was excited to let Serenity out, but she had no idea that I was more excited than her. I was just not showing it. Not yet. But ever since she told me she wanted to meet Riley, my mind couldn’t stop thinking about taking the chance to have her
