“Wait so you mean you were serious about that whole fated mate thing.?” I jerk my head up to meet his eyes as his words dawn on me.
“Yes!” he said placing his spoon back in the bowl and scooping two rushed spoonsful of soup into his mouth.
“I don’t believe you?” I say flatly. I was many things naïve and possible a sex obsessed introvert with issues of picking the wrong guy as always, but a fool was certainly not one of them. Just what the hell was he after pretending he wanted all this with me of all people. I continue in the that direction assured it would lead to my currently designated safe place. Mmmm I moaned irritably as swiping at the annoying stray hair tickling my nose to no avail. My stomach feels as if its full of a swarm of butterflies and I open my eyes again searching for the door readying myself to heave only to see that I'm not in my car. In fact, I was not even outside anymore but in a stranger room with bronze covered wall with deep teal accents. The room was scattered with candles and deep teal and coper covered furniture. There was a mid-size deep teal sectional with copper accent pillows coupled with a matching ottoman Adirondack chair and a long oval shaped copper coffee table. The room was massive and seemed to have two adjoining rooms connected leading out to what undoubtedly was a large room with a similarly beautiful design.
