I just sighed when Lucas and I fell to the ground together. The windshield of his car broke because the bullet hit it. A few glasses of glass spilled on us so I closed my eyes.

I was on top of Lucas and he hugged me very tightly. I could feel the speed of our two hearts, even though our breathing was too fast, it was as if we were fighting to the death.

I was almost out of breath when the man on the motorcycle pointed his gun at me again. I just closed my eyes and waited for the locust to hit me.

I was just surprised when Lucas reversed our position. He is now on top of me so he was the one who hit. I could see how Lucas was hit on the shoulder.
