Chapter 32: When I Wake Up
I open my eyes to see that Dominic is gone again. Feeling a little disappointed, I notice that I feel like a ton of bricks has hit me for some reason and my eyes are caked with sleep. Then I start wondering if I am coming down with something, because just climbing out of bed fatigues me.
When I step one foot on the cold floor, I shriek because it feels icy underneath my toes. I run to the bathroom quickly and then as soon as I wash my hands, I rush back to bed and wait for Monique to come in. Maybe she will bring me something to eat or have the doctor come to check on me. Who knows?
Laying down, I read one of my novels for a while till I hear someone at the door. It opens quickly and makes a loud bang as it hits the wall, then Dominic walks inside. “You missed breakfast, Ana. Did you sleep in?” He asks with a little worry in his voice.
