Chapter 53: It Is Closing In On Us
Hearing a roar behind me, I turn around and see Alpha Adolphus rushing at me right before Dominic intercepts him. Screaming, I yell, “Watch out!” When Adolphus turns quickly and almost slashes Dominic’s throat.
I can’t believe our day has started this way. It all seemed innocent until Monique ran towards me and warned me of Adolphus’s intentions. That is when I heard him behind me before the two of them started fighting. Now as I stand here watching them fight to the death, I start to cry because suddenly I feel this overpowering urge to run.
