16. Sick!

Author's POV

Skyler looked at her feet.

"What fuck is she doing with her body"

He cursed. 

He was about to treat her injuries but he again got called by his father and had to leave her alone. Skyler left the room and ordered maids to change her clothes into comfortable one. Rosetta was literally passed out. 

Skyler finished his business and now was sitting with his parents. 

"How was your shopping?"

Sarah asked curiously. 

"Good..."

He replied.

"How much did you spent?"

Xavier questioned. 

"5 million for her and 4 for me..."

He answered leaning back on his chair. 

"Only?!... I hope you guys did it according to theme..."

Xavier frowned.

Skyler sighed tiredly. 

"Yes dad... I know the theme. Your daughter in law has no choice... Her choice is so simple, I had to change everything. And on top of that she wanted to pay the bill by herself. I had to lie that it's rituals and bridal accessories and dress comes from the groom's family...."

He sounded annoyed. 

Sarah and Xavier chuckled.

"I like her attitude...."

Sarah Said. 

"Okay, come on let's have dinner. Call Rosetta down..."

"I am not hungry, I'll send her down if she isn't sleeping..."

Skyler stood up. 

"Why is she sleeping now?..."

She questioned. 

"Mom she is tired... She was doing practice and has sore body. She needs rest plus this shopping was annoying... I am tired too..."

He replied. 

"Never thought you could defend some girl like this..."

His mom teased. 

Skyler Smirked and looked at his father.

"Of course, afterall she is the love of my life..."

He said mockingly and walked away. 

Skyler went to his room and locked the door. He saw Rosetta sleeping on his bed, she is the first girl who is sleeping on his bed. He has never brought any girl in his room before. 

Maids has changed her clothes into his boxers and tshirt which he gave them. 

He went to the washroom and freshen up, after wearing his sweatpants he returned to the bed. 

Skyler was tired and wanted to sleep but he hesitated getting into the bed with her. Last time he couldn't control himself but couch was too small for him. It won't be comfortable for sleeping. 

"Fuck it..."

He Groaned and slide down beside her. 

She was still sleeping, he looked at her. Her lips were parted in cute pout. Skyler didn't realised that he has started admiring her, she was attracting her towards him. She is the first girl who has qualities of his type of girl. Skyler was about to touch her lips but his phone rang. 

He cursed annoyingly and received the call.

"Where the fuck is my daughter?"

He heard angry Damian.

"Relax Father in law... She is sleeping. Poor girl is tired..."

Skyler smirked. He loves to annoy Damian. 

"Why she isn't home?... Skyler don't forget that you two are not married yet. Don't you dare touch my daughter like that..."

Damian said threateningly.

Skyler chuckled.

"Don't worry, I am not like you... I won't make her pregnant before marriage. She is safe with me, not like she needs protection... I'll drop her home tomorrow. Something urgent came up so I couldn't drop her and she was sleeping."

"Bastard"

Damian cursed and disconnected the call. Skyler chuckled and placed his phone aside. 

"I hate your father, Rosa... He is annoying..."

Skyler said to her sleeping form but frowned when he saw her hands. 

From elbow to wrist her hand was full of blue and purple marks. He understood that it's from blocking the attacks while practicing but it was too much. He didn't notice it when she was trying bridal dresses. 

He touched it and she moaned in pain, Skyler touched her hand and it was quite hot indicating that she has mild fever. 

Now he understood that why she is sleeping like this, she is weak and sick. She was looking tired whole day. 

She must be exhausted from her practice and still didn't complaint even once while shopping with him. 

"The fuck..."

Skyler got up. He couldn't leave her like this, she needed something. 

He took her phone and called Rose. Rose was in her bedroom with Damian. She excused herself and walked out in the balcony. 

"What happened Skyler?"

She asked. 

"Rosetta has mild fever, she is literally passed out. Her whole body is covered in bruises... What did you exactly do to her?..."

He asked little bit madly and he has no idea why he is mad.

"It's normal..."

Rose assured. 

"If you have some medicines for fever then give her but don't give her anything for bruises, let her take that pain..."

"This is not the right time to teach her that... She needs treatment..."

He countered.

"Don't be too soft Skyler, don't let your love affect her goals... She needs to learn and this is the right time..."

Rose answered, she was expecting this. She knew that Rosetta will fall sick. 

Skyler closed his eyes frustratingly. He disconnected the call and started looking for medical kit. Unfortunately he had none.

"Fuck it..."

He growled and slammed the cabinet shut. 

He walked towards Roy's room and knocked on his door. Roy opened the door with red swollen eyes.

"What happened to your eyes?"

Skyler asked. 

"Nothing just completing the novel..."

Roy answered tiredly. 

"Wear your fucking glasses otherwise you will get blind..."

Skyler Scolded knowing he sat in front of his laptop whole day. 

"And give me your medical kit..."

Are you hurt?"

Roy asked with concerned face. 

"Just do it..."

Skyler said madly. Roy sighed and gave him the medical kit. Skyler checked if it has everything which he needs and started walking towards his room. 

"At least say thank you"

Roy yelled. 

"Fuck off"

Skyler replied back. 

"Sky?..."

He heard his mother and closed his eyes. He tried to hide the kit knowing she will overreact but she saw it anyway. 

"Are you hurt?... Why do you need medical kit?"

Sarah frowned and walked towards him. 

"Don't lie to me now... What happened?"

She asked firmly. 

"Mom, it's not me... It's Rosa. She has fever. I need some medicines for her..."

He assured. 

"Is it serious?... Should I call the doctor..."

She asked worriedly. 

"I don't think it's necessary..."

He replied but he himself was hesitant. 

"Mom?"

"Yes?"

She looked at him.

"Can you check her once, I don't know how to deal with this..."

He requested and Sarah smiled. 

"Of course, come!..."

She said and walked towards his room.

She sat beside Rosetta and checked her fever.

"Give her medicines, it's not that serious... She will be fine till morning..."

She said and Skyler nodded. Sarah patted his back and walked out of his room. 

Skyler tried to wake her up but she wasn't responding. She tried to open her eyes but was too sleepy to do that. Skyler diluted the tablet in spoonful water and made her drink it. 

He placed her head back on the pillow and covered her with bedsheet.

"Never thought that I will do something like this... Fuck this agreement..."

He cursed. 

He covered himself with bedsheet and tried to sleep but his mind was constantly thinking about her bruises. Her fever wasn't that serious but her bruises are. He wasn't able to sleep with that thought and couldn't understand why. 

He woke up with frustrated groan. He looked at her hands once again and sighed. 

"Why do you need to do all this, Rosa?... Why are you so hard on yourself..."

Her mother told him not to treat her bruises but he isn't someone who will follow orders obediently.

Skyler is anything but obedient.

He took medical kit and started applying ointment on her bruises. He applied it on her hands and legs. 

Skyler was doubting that she has bruises on her stomach and back too but hesitated to remove her shirt.

He has no idea why he was doing it. As per his nature he shouldn't care about her, who is no one but some Random girl to whom he is going to marry. He told her that he won't be available for her but it seems like it's not going according to his plan. She was walking up some weird feelings in him. 

Skyler never thought that some girl's presence will matter to him, that he will try to know her and definitely didn't think that he will be impressed by her.

He slowly started lifting her shirt and saw her belly.
