Rayvin was putting on the black cargo pants and the black long-sleeved t-shirt she always used on her missions. Her ability to turn invisible meant she could have worked in bright red colours if she wanted. But it put her in the right frame of mind and sometimes it was good not to rely on your powers. “Do you think I should have gone with Remus in the third car?” Diana asked, as they were on their way home. “No,” Rayvin said. “Okay, something is up with you. Both of you. You have been strangely insistent that I don’t get involved in this operation. The news regarding the Beta pup spread like a wildfire in the pack. Diana and Ben had gone over to his parents to tell them in person and they called her parents and Milly. Diana was radiating and Ben seemed to keep physical contact with her at all times and glared when people came too close. Rayvin found the whole thing very sweet. The teams watching the cabin reported the humans were still holding up in there. They hadn’t left it during the day they had been there. Rayvin had talked to Remus about how to get at least one of their warriors close enough to the cabin to let them hear what was happening. They decided that if the human stayed another night, Laika would try to sneak closer. There was a part of the cabin where there weren’t any windows. If Laika could get close enough to the cabin without being detected, she could take up posts along that part. Late in the evening, they finally got the information they had been waiting for. The humans had ended several hours of driving around in circles by entering a warehouse in an industrial part of the city. After some careful recon, the teams could report it seemed like there were numerous humans in the warehouse. Rayvin called Alpha Brutus to let him know they most likely had found the headquarters. He told her he was sending five agents to them. They would arrive the next afternoon. Diana arranged for the warriors that had been watching the humans to be relieved as they had been in the field for days. The following day, Remus joined Rayvin and Diana to welcome the agents from Mistvalley. He then headed to the airport to go and interrogate the Alpha of the rogues. Ever since he had met her, when she had stolen his breath away along with his heart. Things had just been amazing. When he had, and she had excepted, everything had just continued moving forward between them.
