Kaidaira's POV

"What is going on here?" Thane growled, his voice low and menacing. Calantha's eyes flashed with defiance, but Thane's glare silenced her. He took in the sight of me, hanging limply from the chains, and his expression darkened. His eyes burned with fury.

Calantha attempted to defend herself, her voice shrill and petulant. "I'm teaching her.. her place," she spat, but Thane's anger only intensified.

Thane's gaze fell upon me, and his face twisted in rage. "You dare to harm her?" he snarled.

Calantha's expression turned petulant. “Thane. But what about me? Your loyal Luna? Why do you do this?! You humiliate me."

Thane's voice dropped to a deadly whisper. "You will not harm her again, Calantha. She is under my protection."

I felt a spark of hope. Was Thane actually saving me?

Calantha's eyes flashed with defiance. "Or what, Thane? You'll punish me? Your own Luna?"

Thane's jaw clenched, his anger evident as he turned to look at the guards who indulged Calantha’s

  • Scorned: The Rebirth of Kaidaira    chapter 110

Kaidiara’s POVI woke up earlier than usual. The sun was still hiding behind the horizon, casting the room in soft shadows. I wasn’t sure why I woke up so early. Maybe it was the stillness of the world outside, or maybe I just felt like it was time.I stretched slowly and pulled myself out of bed, trying not to disturb the quiet. The door opened softly, and Mira and Kira stepped inside.“Ma’am, you’re awake already?” Kira asked, her voice full of surprise.I nodded, sitting up on the bed. “I’m alright. Just felt the urge to wake up early.”Mira looked at me, then glanced at Kira. “It’s good that you’re awake, ma’am. Today is Alpha Rashid’s execution. The pack is already getting ready for it.”I didn’t feel the usual weight of dread or sorrow when I thought about it. Instead, there was something else. I felt… ready.“I know,” I said quietly. “I’ve been thinking about it all morning.”Mira nodded and went to the window, opening the curtains to let in the soft morning light. Kira started

Kaidiara's poVI sat still on the edge of my bed while Mira combed my hair gently and Kira cleaned my nails. The windows were wide open, but I couldn’t feel any wind. The air was heavy. My heart felt tight. Something was wrong. Something was coming.Mira noticed first. "You’re not breathing right, my lady."I blinked slowly. "I don’t know. I feel… strange.""Do you want water?" Kira asked softly."No," I said. "It’s not my body. It’s my soul. My heart is pulling me somewhere."Mira paused with the comb in her hand. "Where is it pulling you?"I closed my eyes for a second. "To the battlefield. I want to see Alpha Rashid die."Both maids froze. For a full minute, nobody said anything. Then Kira stood up. She looked resolved. Her eyes filled with passion. She wanted me to take revenge. I could feel it. I know she wanted me to really watch Rashid perish. Mira as well. I was glad that I had maids who understood me. Maids I can count on at any point in time."Then go," she said, like it wa

  • Scorned: The Rebirth of Kaidaira    Chapter 108

Alpha Thane's POV The sun was just beginning to sink behind the hills when we reached the borders of Rashid’s territory. From my horse, I studied the lands below. Rashid’s stronghold sat between the rocky hills and the forest beyond. His people moved below, unaware, their guard relaxed, their warriors scattered.Good.They weren’t expecting this, they didn't know what was coming for them."They won’t know what hit them," Jarek said, his voice low and eager.A wide grim smile appeared on my face."No mercy," I said. "We end this fast and quick."The warriors behind me tightened their grips on their weapons. Armor gleamed in the fading light. Our wolves growled low in our chests, sensing the fight ahead and slowly savoring it.At my signal, we surged forward. The ground thundered beneath us as we charged down the slope. The horns of Rashid’s guards blared belatedly, shrill and panicked, but it was already too late.We smashed into the outposts like a strong wave, swords flashing, claws

  • Scorned: The Rebirth of Kaidaira    Chapter 107

Chapter 107Kaidaira's POV The courtyard felt empty after they left. Even with the servants rushing around, even with the clamor of preparations still humming in the air, everything seemed… quieter.I stood there for a long time, staring at the path Thane had taken. His words replayed in my head, soft and dangerous."I wouldn’t have been able to leave."It was the kind of thing that should melt a woman. Make her believe. Hope. But I couldn’t afford those things. Not when I was so close to everything I’d worked for.Not when revenge was still unfinished.I turned and walked back toward the palace, careful not to let my mask slip. The maids were already whispering."Did you see how he looked at her?""He never says things like that to anyone.""They’re in love."I smiled faintly as I passed them.Good. Let them believe it.The more convincing the lie, the deeper the betrayal would feel when the truth came crashing down. And it would. I’d make sure of it.Back in my chambers, I sank int

  • Scorned: The Rebirth of Kaidaira    Chapter 106

Chapter 106 Kaidaira's POV The sound of metal clashing jerked me out of sleep. It was faint, but steady, the distinct clank of armor and the dull thuds of heavy boots pounding against packed earth. I sat up in bed, pushing the silk sheets aside and straining my ears. Outside, the courtyard was alive with movement. Wolves. Warriors. Preparing for war. I slipped from the bed and moved to the window, pulling the curtain just slightly. From the tower, I could see them... lines of soldiers marching across the yard, weapons glinting in the morning sun. Horses neighed as they were led into formation. Blacksmiths barked orders as smoke billowed from the forges. Healers rushed across the grounds carrying crates of supplies, herbs, and bandages. And there it was that sharp, bitter smell that curled around my nose. Wolfsbane. I flinched instinctively. Even a trace of it made my stomach turn. The scent was unmistakable, and it hung in the air like a warning. Something about it all did

  • Scorned: The Rebirth of Kaidaira    Chapter 105

Kaidaira POVI was so shocked by what she said. She want to sell me back to Alpha Thane's pack. This can't be happening to me. Yet again I am nothing more than a commodity for sell. Why was life so cruel to me. “Have I done something so unforgivable that the moon goddess decides to punish me this way?” I asked myself.“I can't go back to Alpha Thane's pack” I screamed as everyone diverted their attention to me. The old woman gave me a stern look before turning to face the Alpha.“You either have to go back to Thane's pack or you die” Alpha Rashid said without mercy. All my hope was shattered before me, going back to Thane's pack is the same thing as death.“Send a message to Alpha Thane's that wwe are returning his slave back to him and it's coming with a price” Alpha Rashid back out orders to one of the general.“Sir what if he doesn't complies with us” one of them asked.“Then we would kill her” he said as if he was talking about kill an animal or something.I couldn't do anything
