“Julian is a good guy and a good member of this pack – do not treat him differently, now that our friendship is over. As future Alpha, I know he will make a good warrior someday and I think he will benefit this pack” I tell him what’s on my mind. Though he was a complete ass, I still need to protect him.

“Very well…” my dad agrees, however, his eyes say differently.

“What did he say to you?” he asks me, his black orbs commanding me to answer.

“I will…I will tell you guys later, I need to – to wash off” I offer them a soft smile before turning around and heading to bed.

After showering, and washing away the stench of my ex-best friend’s blood, I find comfort in crawling into my cool comforters. I stare up at the ceiling, internally repressing the pain and hurt I feel. That is one of my most hated yet loved habits – I repress all my negative emotions. It helps me in the now, but always seems to creep up on me later – and almost always shows itself by having me explode.
