8 ½ years later

“Why won’t this..stupid thing…turn off..” I growl lowly in my sleep , as an annoying ringing begins to distort my dream – I harshly slam on my alarm clock however I could not resume my dream.. That oh so heavenly ice cream , placed on the table with a handsome Chris Hemsworth sitting across from me starts to glitch up.

“No..no…don’t go…” I begin to whimper as his handsome face with a little bit of chocolate on his lips begin to vanish. With in no time , my eyes flicker open and I nearly blinded by the intense sunlight.

“For heaven’s sake!” I growl deeply , while rubbing my closed eyes hoping that it will take away the sting that I feel. Once I am done rubbing my sore eyes , I pry them open and am struck with awe. I am amazed to see that this Monday morning is absolutely glorious and bright. My pink curtains have been pulled open , making the sun rays to shoot in to my room – I feel the warmth of it’s ray as it shines across my leg. My white bed sheet looks even whiter , and my room seems so much brighter.

It’s beautiful….but I need sleep

My wolf , Lexus , whines at the back of my head – pictures of her covering her ears with her paws while sadly whimpering floods my mind.

“Stop being such a cry baby , future alpha…We got a big day a head of us…” I say to her out loud , since I am in my room no one would really care if I talk to her out loud. Lexus seems to perk up after hearing her title being called – yes , Lexus and I are soon to be alpha of pack Silvertooth canines ….only if we do not find a mate , which we both are rooting for.

“What should we wear today , Lexy?” I ask her , jumping out of my bed and heading straight for the walk in closet. Being an alpha’s daughter has it’s perks , but it’s the responsibility that gets me up and motivated.

“How about something floral and cute?” I ask out loud , asking my other half for her opinions on what I should wear to my first day at school at a new highschool.

No!...Wear something badass and sexy…

She purrs in my ears , making me roll her eyes.

“How about badass….not sexy” I state , taking out my famous leather jacket that my dad had gifted me with. I loved it the moment I had seen it – on the back of it has a picture of a wolf howling to the moon , which just makes me shiver in lust just looking at it.

Fair enough…

She agrees with me. Lexus knows damn well as to what happens when I wear to sexy clothes. I walk to the bath room , deep in my own thoughts. I chuckle and shake my head as I recall all the articles I had read regarding us werewolves – werewolves are very attractive people , a sure enough we get a lot of attention.

I let a loud sigh as I feel the hot water sting against my back in the most delicious way possible.

Being an alpha’s daughter has it’s perks , as I stated before , but no body talks about the endless love confessions and fake relationships thrown your way. Every power hungry male werewolf , my age or not , seems to try to make me fall in love with them – why? So that they can take my daddy’s title. So ever since I was 13 years old , I have bee getting almost of the guys attention – not to mention the hatful glares from the female werewolves.

At first , I loved it – I was over the moon when my crush liked me back. I almost feel my heart ache as I remember the way I had found out he only liked me to get the Alpha title. I shake my head clear from all those negative and painful memories and just stare at my self in the mirror.

Damn Mama….

Lexus purrs in my ear , making me beam with confidence. My leather pants outlines my curves oh so perfectly , while my leather jacket sleeves are rolled up. My lipstick is bold and bright red , while my make up is done in a way that makes me look badass sexy. My black hair flows down my back – I look perfect , well almost perfect. I take a black cap , which had been laying on my bed , in between my fingers and then places it on my head.

Now , I look perfect – over the years , Lexus and I have learnt to dress up tough , be tough and scare the guys away. I take one last look at my appearance before grabbing my knapsack and walking out the door. I sniff the air , and the delicious smell of pancakes fills my nostrils making me rush downstairs and into the dining room.

I instantly smile when I see my little family all gathered around the dining table. More than 10 people sits around the table , eating and speaking to one another – the laughter fills my heart with pride and joy. My eyes connect with my dad’s , before he gives me a small knowing smile.

You feel proud don’t you?

My dad mind links me , which makes us both cut connections with every one around the table. I nod my head , smiling a great smile at him.

It makes me feel so much pride when watching them all be together as one…

I mind link back to my father.

This is the best part of being an alpha – seeing how happy and safe they are under your care and protection…

He fills me in on Alpha business – he started doing this and giving me small lessons about being an Alpha ever since I had turned 14.

“Tris , come and eat quickly – or you will get late for school” my mum breaks my moment with my dad.

“Morning Tris…”

“Hey Tris…”

“Tris , my girrrl…”

“Yo , tris”

I hear the people around me wish me a good morning after noticing my presence.

“Good morning everyone…” I wish them back , making sure to flash them a great big smile. As soon as I lay my ass on my chair , a plate with a huge pile of pancakes are laid in front of me – with out a second thought I start digging in. The good thing about being these superior being , is that I can eat a lot and hardly gain any weight. With a loud burp , I lay my fork on the plate and dab the corners of my mouth with a napkin.

“Tris!!” My mum calls out to me , for burping aloud in front of everyone.

“Whaaat?! It did not bother any one….” I point out , watching the other chuckle and giggle. I pull my chair back , getting ready to leave for school.

“Tris , before you leave I need to discuss a few things with you…” my father says sternly. I fall back down on to my chair and await. He opens his mouth to say some thing but instantly stops , before giving the rest a stern look. I have no doubt in my mind that he is telling them to give us some privacy. Just as I thought , every one started to get up from their chairs and leave the room – every one except my mom and dad.

“Right…so you know that this is your first time going to a mixed school…” he reminds me. To be quite honest , I have been feeling a bit terrified of the thought of being around humans. I have been raised in a werewolf environment , around only werewolves my age , so speaking openly has become such a normal thing to me – I fear that my tongue might slip and I could reveal our entire race of half man and half wolf. Not to mention , our entire race would be hunted , killed or blamed for murders we never did because we do not kill.

“So… I want you to go easy on them , and control your strength and anger…” my dad says with seriousness laced in his voice. There is another fear of mine – werewolves strength is 7 times more than that of a human. If I were to slap a human with my full power , I could just snap their neck.

“Why do I have to go to this school again?” I whine to my father.

“ I explained it to you a thousand times Tris…” he sighs.

“I need you to learn to get used to being around humans , if you want to become alpha” he says. I sigh , I do not want to be around humans but if I have to – I guess I will do so.

“ Okay…I guess I will get going now…” I say getting up from my seat , flinging my bag pack over my shoulder.

“Have a great day at school , princess..” my dad says after I lean down to kiss his cheek.

“Mink link us , if you get in to any trouble…” my mum says after I plant a kiss on her cheek as well. I walk to the door , but before exiting the dining room I turn around to my parents.

“Mother , please. I will be alpha one day – I can handle what ever is thrown my way…” I give them a wink.

“That’s my girl…” I hear my dad whispering with my super hearing abilities , as I walk out of the dining room which makes me smile with confidence.

“First day of school…Let’s do this!” I say filled with enthusiasm.

I am standing outside of the school gates – as my mother predicted , I am late for my first day at school. How ever , I preferred it this way so that I did not have to be looked at with so many stares. I take a big sniff of the air that surrounds the school , and some thing in me starts to jump with excitement. The scent of humans , smelt some what intoxicating.

“Hey kid…” I am broken my trance. The security guard stands against the wall , folding his arms – he looks some what bulky and attractive , my mind makes me believe that he is a werewolf to. If not his appearance , their his scent says it to.

“ You must be new to a mixed school huh?” he asks me, to which I nod my head.

“ I thought so…” he mumbles to himself.

“ Let me give you some advice kid…Do not take such a big whiff like that again…” he tells me , walking towards me.

“Why not?”  I question him. I guess by the tone in my voice and my aura he could notice that I had alpha blood in me , as his one eyebrow raised in question.

“You have alpha blood in you , yet you do not know…” he shakes his head , making me snarl at him.

“ Calm down princess…The answer to your question is that though we are half human , we are also half animal – our animal side could just take over us if we are of high ranking…like you are..” he points out.

“So what…I could most like attack the humans if my wolf enjoys what it smells?” I scoff.

“Correct!” he exclaims.

“I do not believe you…” I scoff at his ridiculous statement. I watch him roll his eyes at me , while closing the distance between us. He places his hands on my shoulders , and quickly turned me around so that I would be facing the glass on his security booth that is allocated by the entrance of the school yard.  I gasp in shock and disbelief as I see my eyes glowing a deep red colour – proof that what he said was true. I hear him chuckle behind me after letting my shoulders go.

“Do not let your sniffer sniff out of control , Alpha…Now getting going , you going to be late for your first class…”
