Chapter Eleven: Duty Calls

Caroline’s POV

“I’ll be ready in five,” I called out to Boris as I quickly sat down to put on my shoes.

It was my first day as an employee of the renowned Storm Ventures and I was so excited. Boris, just like he promised, had made it happen and I was so full of gratitude for him.

‘“What a man,” I said in my heart. He was a perfect gentleman. He was everything that I thought he was and despite all the allegations by Jon against him, I couldn't see any truth in them.

“I'm ready,” I said to him as I got to the sitting room.

“Wow. You look stunning, Caroline,” he smiled, staring at me from head to toe and nodding his head in admiration.

“Thank you,” I blushed. I loved it when he gave me those compliments, even when I thought he went a little bit over later with some of them.

For example, I just had a casual white shirt tucked into a black skirt and a black, heel shoe to go with it. I didn't think it made me look that gorgeous, but he seemed to think so. That was enough for me.
