Chapter ten - Friends
*Kiara's POV*
Today was the last day of preparations and luckily for me, it was my day off. Even better, I was alone in my room. Peace and quiet. Exactly what I needed. Well...peace, quiet and rest anyway. My whole body had been aching the last week and finally, I could ease them.
I heard a soft knock at the door and I groaned. Who was that and what did they want? Couldn't a girl have some alone time? Reluctantly, I got up from my bed and was about to open the door before I stopped. I didn't know who it was and I was going to open the door.
"Who is it?" I hollered.
"It's Diane" the voice replied.
"Go away" I said as coldly as possible.
She whimpered in emotional pain. Serves her right. I was washing dishes and scrubbing floors and my break was taken away because of her. I wasn't ready to talk.
