"Sorry, your place?" I acted like I didn't get the first time.

"Yeah. Any problem with that? Do you want to go anywhere else?"

"Nah! I was thinking of somewhere not too personal to you. Maybe a restaurant or bar"

"Julie, who has dinner in a bar, for God's sake? Tell me, when was the last time you went on a date with someone?" He mocked me.

"Oh, please! It's the thought that matters, not the location"

"Well, in this case, the bar isn't a great idea for a dinner date. So you can come up with a better place if you're too scared to come to my place" He said.

"No, it's fine. Let's just have it at your place. But..." I said, then paused.

"But?"

"It's just dinner. Don't try anything corny, Adam"

"You have my words, Julie. Trust me"

We ended the call after we shared a few talks about the office and stuff. Not without gossiping Samantha and her antics.
