I couldn't believe what Sammie had done. He had my father arrested just to get back at me. I was furious and hurt, and it was the final straw. I knew I had to leave him.

I confronted him about it, and he didn't deny it. He said he did it because he was angry that I went to see Blake. He told me that he still loved me and begged me to stay, but I couldn't take it anymore.

I told him that I was leaving him and that I wanted a divorce. He refused to sign the papers, but I didn't care. I was determined to move on with my life.

Leaving Sammie was not an easy decision, but it was the right one. I had been living in a toxic relationship, and I needed to get out. I didn't want to be the kind of person who stayed in a bad situation just because it was familiar.
