Veronica had been keeping a low profile since the accident that left Chris and Flora injured. She had heard about the accident, but she was not aware that her daughter had been involved. For days, she had been trying to get in touch with Sammie, but he had not been answering his phone.

She decided to visit him at his home, but when she got there, the house was empty. She tried calling him again, but there was still no answer. She went back to her car and was about to drive away when she saw a car pull up.

She watched as Sammie went into the house and came out a few minutes later. He was carrying a small body bag. Veronica's heart sank as she realized what had happened.

She got out of her car and walked over to Sammie. "What happened?" she asked, tears streaming down her face.

"I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but your daughter was involved in the accident with Chris . She didn't make it."
