Blair's pov

When I was six years old, The Palmerson's adopted me into their home.

It was the greatest thing to ever happen to me when they came to the orphanage and chose me as their daughter.

It felt like a dream.

After years of seeing my other friends get their own family, it was finally my turn.

What made it better was the fact that they were kind to me and also rich. Not that six year old me cared about riches. The other bigger boys and girls just thought I was lucky to have a wealthy family take interest in me. All that sic year old me cared about, however was being loved.

I was the most excited I had ever been the first time they brought me home, especially since I already had a sister waiting for me at home, but when I saw Celia's face at the door waiting for her parents that day I realized something was very wrong. The perfect fairytale I had built in my head would not be my reality.

She'd been holding a teddy bear to her chest while glaring at me in disgust.

I had tried to hug her but she'd tripped me and pretended that it wasn't her.

That was the first of my incidents she woukd make me suffer.

My shiny fairytale dream quickly turned my worst nightmare with everything that Celia did

I spent the next fifteen years under my sister's shadows, treated like shit by her.

The family dog was treated better than me and of course this was all Celia's fault. Even as a seven year old, she was vindictive little asshole.

She hated my guts and I didn't undersand why because all I wanted was for her to see me as her sister but she never did.

She saw me as a competition for her parents affection and spent years making sure I never got it.

In everything, she'd sobatage me even in school and made sure mom and dad took me out of an ivy league school to put me in a public school. Att that time I had not minded because I thought it couldn't possibly get worse but it seemed like that was all it had gotten since then, worse and worse.

I remembered she'd destroyed my sweet sixteen birthday cake that my friends had organized for me and somehow turned most of my friends against me.

There were so many more stories like this.

I only ever got away from her antics when I finally went to college under a scholarship.

It was a different state so I was mostly left by myself.

I had met Landon in college and had instantly fallen in love with him. Four years later we got married.

If someone had told me even yesterday that Landon would betray me, I would have bet my life on it that he wouldn't.

I drove straight to our home and to my horror found my belongings outside the house.

The remaining part of me broke into several pieces and I couldn't help but fall to my knees and cry, my heart aching…

*****

I sat in the waiting room, shaking uncontrollably. I didn't want to do this but I knew it was the right thing to do. I did not want to bring a child into this is world that was not wanted by his father.

I knew how that felt and I wouldn't put a child through it. Especially when the child was rejected in favor of another.

My sister's.

I couldn't believe she was pregnant for my husband.

It still made no sense.

How long had they been sleeping with each other behind my back?

And why?

Celia never even liked Landon. She always made fun of him whenever I was around him every given moment.

Granted, they'd had a one night stand before I had met Landon but that was back in highschool.

“Mrs. Baron?” A nurse came to stand in front of me.

“Yes?” I forced out a smile as I looked up at her.

“Are you ready?” She asked, smiling down at me kindly.

The answer was yes but I couldn't bring myself to say the words. It felt too real.

Just two days ago, I had left the hospital, happy that I was finally pregnant after a year of trying and now I was back trying to get rid of my source of joy.

“Mrs Baron?” She questioned, bringing me out of my reverie, this time wit a slight frown.

“i’m sorry…” I laughed nervously, unsure what to say to her.

“You can always change your mind… there's no rush.”

She said gently.

“No, no,” I shook my head.

“I want to go through with this, I just need a moment to come to terms with it.”

“Of course. I'll be bavk in ten.”

She smiled and I smiled in thanks.

I looked down at my belly. I was only six weeks pregnant and had only found out about it two days ago but it still felt like I had known about it for months. It felt like he'd been a part of me for years even though that was not the case.

He was my chance to start a family of my own. Just like I had always wanted but unfortunately that was no longer the case.

It still felt like a betrayal to my unborn child.

But why bring a child into this world when he is not wanted?

Besides, he'll be a reminder of what happened to you and what about your revenge plan?

The tiny voice in my head said.

That was all I needed to hear to make my decision.

I stood up from where I sat and made my way into the doctor's office.

“I'm ready.”

I said to her with a new wave of determination.

“Alright then, come on in.” She smiled sweetly and ushered me in.

*****

I woke up to find several heads staring down at me.

Doctors.

They seemed to be a little panicked which did nothing for my already rattled nerves.

“I refuse to be part of this.” A voice said. they seemed to be coming from a distance even though I could see the faces close to my face.

I was still a little disoriented.

“You already are. You can't back away now. This is what Miss Palmerson asked for.”

“I'm not killing a woman, I can't.”

Another voice.

my blood ran cold and I began to panic at the sound of my sister's name.

killing someone? who were they killing? me?

“It's too late, she has my kids.”

The doctor voiced.

“L....let me go!”I yelled out but nobody seemed to have heard me.

It was then I realized that I was still a little drugged up.

They were going to kill me!

I tried to yell but I was too weak.

“She's waking up, doctor.”

A voice said.

“Shit!” The doctor said and I heard footsteps marching towards me and a second later, felt something puncture my neck.

“This should sedate her.” He said.

“Please don't kill me,” I managed to say.

“I'm sorry but we have to.” He said and took out a needle.

“This will kill you instantly. A painless death,” he said. “I'm sorry.”

That was the last thing I heard before everything went black.

We'd never gotten along because of how bad she used to treat Blair and now, I hated her even more for not caring about her supposed daughter's whereabouts.“Not yet, mom but we plan on talking about today but don't worry, it will be before m
