ROSE
"So, you're finally showing me the Moon Flower today?"
Weeks had passed since Ryker's coming into my home and today, he had to spend the day with Carina in the human world while I met with the Goddess.
She giggled for a long while, recovered, looked at my face and then said, "Oh, you were serious?"
"Dead serious. How am I supposed to protect something if I don't even know where it is or what it looks like?" I said.
She sighed and nodded, saying, "I suppose you are right..."
She then stood up and motioned for me to do the same. And so, I did. She then moved closer towards me and took my hand which really startled and shocked me.
"Oh, don't look like that," she said with a playful put, and then we literally teleported into an underground greenhouse-looking place. For a second, I tripped and
ROSEI woke up almost ambushed by Deamian who hovered over me. I was on the floor and my body ached slightly. The idiot pushed me off!"What. The. Actual. Fudgeballs!" I yelled. He burst out laughing and I took the opportunity to trip him.He landed with a hard thump right next to me. I began laughing and so did he... Until eventually we stopped. We were close... Very close. His piercing blue eyes stared into my soul and roamed my face as though he were capturing it for future reference. For some or other odd reason my heart began thudding hard against my chest and I gulped slightly. I must be getting the flu, right? Probably from all those plants in the Moon Goddess' sanctuary. We were so lost in each other. So, stuck in our own world that when Carina entered the room, I nearly had a heart attack. She stared at us; he
ROSEAs soon as Deamian was gone, I had to go and help Carina find my idiot mate who was still missing. Pack members we questioned had said that they'd seen him for the day, walking around and making friends but I didn't care. He disobeyed me- again. He was so stubborn, so defiant. He was unlike any werewolf I'd met before. He didn't even really fear me, and that is what had me so interested in him. If it had been anyone else, they would have been dead by now, for defying me so much. However, with Ryker, I could not live without his defiance. He made me normal, not like some kind of raging monster. After searching the restaurant, admin department and storage facilities, Carina and I decided to check the training centre.Low and behold, my mate was there, talking to Henry as though they were the best of friends. To say I was absolutely outraged would be an under
RYKERShe fell asleep next to me. She was gorgeous and looked so innocent and harmless while her eyes were shut. Finally, I'd broken through her walls. Hopefully, I'd end up capturing her heart too. But there was something that made me nervous. How would she react to the truth and would it break our trust when she found out?I couldn't think of that now though. I was just enjoying her being close to me. She still reeked of Deamian though and I wasn't sure how that made me feel... His scent was always on her though, always lingering…. I’d known Deamian for a long time, probably longer than anyone else. He and I, we could never seem to escape one another.I snuggled closer to her and wrapped an arm around her body. Once she said the words, I'd show her the truth. She wriggled slightly and then settled, probably feeling the sparks between u
ROSEDeamian leaned back in his chair and glanced at the list we'd made. Yes... We made a list people; we were that organised."So, you want Henry to make sure that the pack knows self-defence, even the normal pack members?" I repeated. He nodded and said, "It's the only way to make sure that everyone is safe and sound. That and it will increase the number of members of the pack who can keep guard around the pack." He said."Oh, right. So, do you know how these rogues plan on stealing the Moon Flower?" I asked. He nodded, "They can just kidnap one of the three of us that knows where it is and force us to take them there, or they could blackmail us into letting them in. That's why no one in your pack should know. Especially not Carina. Important people could be used against you."Was this a good time to tell him I had a
ROSEHis lips were soft and gentle as they moved against my own and his fingers gently held my chin in place. I, however, just sat there... Frozen. I didn't want to move, I couldn't... But then the memories of our first kiss- a nerdy pigtailed girl kissing a braced boy in glasses- flooded my mind and I swear I was acting on that girl's behalf. I slowly started to kiss him back and I don't know how exactly but somewhere between our lip locking, Deamian got up and pushed me against the wall causing a loud thud. His hands made their way to my waist as his kisses become more desperate and hurried. I had to say that I was finding it difficult to function and I was kissing him back with just as much passion as he was kissing me. His lips felt so perfect and amazing against mine and his hands which wrapped gently around me were making my brain all fuzzy. Deamian's kisses then moved to the side of my mouth and down to my jaw making me squirm in plea
ROSEHe stood there, arms folded, face unamused and a questioning look clearly visible."I... I... It's," not finding the words to articulate, I eventually gave up.I sighed and said, "It was an accident. Deamian happened."Ryker's face went red and his fists clenched."What?" He boomed. He then moved closer and studied the bite marks further. "He tried something with you! Are you okay Rose? He didn't hurt you, did he? When I get my hands on that b-"But I had to cut him off somewhere right, despite him looking very overprotective and handsome."He didn't hurt me. It, it was an accident okay?" I said trying to calm him down."Accident?! How can he accidentally leave bite marks on my mate's neck?" He
ROSEBlood… blood everywhere. Pouring out of my ears, dripping from my nose, my eyes… all over my shaking hands. I looked down and turned cold. The bodies… every single werewolf who ever died during training were sprawled out at my feet. Each lifeless with eyes white as snow and skin pale and slightly blue. That’s when I saw them. My parents sprawled out in the middle, headless, and next to them, Martha. Her neck was once again contorted into a weird angle. Everyone here seemed lifeless, that was, until her eyes closed and opened in a blink. My breath hitched slightly, and she began to rise. Her bones clicking in place as she did. She then places her pale hands on her neck and twisted it back into place. Her eyes were red with blood but stared at me, keeping me frozen in place.“It’s all your fault!” She spat with a hoarse,
ROSEHe refused to tell me exactly why he felt it necessary to hide me in the sanctuary. And so, I thought it best to give him the cold shoulder. I woke up extremely early and began all my alpha duties, plagued, yet again by those frightening nightmares. First stop was Henry to fetch the report."Hey," he said. I returned it with a tired smile and for a moment he froze which had me panicking."What's wrong? Is there a rogue behind me or something?" I then turned but found no rogue.I turned back to him and he still had that surprised look on his face, but this time he at least managed to open his mouth to speak."Y-you smiled..." He said.My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Did I? I was too tired to even remember."Yes... So?"
