ABBY POV

“You shouldn't wear that perfume,” he whispers to me, leaning in. Invading my space, plus my personal fragrance choices, “You smell too sweet for your own good.”

Did he sniff me?

“My perfume is my business,” I mumbled past him, I had an order to cancel, “You attend to your business, and try to keep it from affecting me.”

He frowned, more than usual, he sounded very serious when he asked:

"What do you mean?"

I snort.

I wasn't going to tell him how his fiancée is blackmailing me with my son to get me away from him. But on the other hand, I'm worried about what might happen to Zion and me. I also doubt that Damian is interested in hearing about my problems, the problems that he himself has gotten me into.
