The Charming Smile

Asher's POV

The aroma of delicious grilled meat mixed with cheese and half-cooked eggs made me feel like drooling. Mr McCormack added a lot of tomato sauce that was slightly spicy because it was mixed with pepper and ginger. He said the sauce was his family's hereditary recipe.

"Two special burgers for Mr. Asher and his girlfriend are ready. Please enjoy ...." Mr. McCormack acted like a waiter in a restaurant. He bowed and placed two burgers on the table in front of me. I immediately took my large speciality burger. Daphne couldn't contain herself at the sight of the big, tender meat and melted cheese on top of a pile of vegetables and half-cooked eggs.

I immediately took a big bite of the burger. Daphne followed suit. A few seconds later, Daphne's eyes closed. "This is amazing, Asher. This is seriously the best burger I've ever had. It is a burger." Daphne emphasised every sentence in her praise. I waved at Mr McCormack and exclaimed, "she said your burger was the best!"
