On December 20, 2012, the small city of Eloi was plunged into chaos as the two deadliest gangs, Death Red and The Scorpions, exchanged bullets. The sound of gunfire filled the air, punctuated by the cries of agony and pain. The dark clouds overhead seemed to reflect the city's despair as rain poured down from the sky.The feud between the two gangs had a long history, each trying to assert their dominance over the other. But to the people of Eloi, it brought only disaster and immense suffering. The gangs' battle cry of "Blood, pain, death" only served to amplify the fear and desperation that gripped the city that day.Amid the chaos, a mother and her nine-year-old daughter huddled together in a closet, seeking refuge from the violence outside. The girl, her grey-blue eyes filled with fear, asked her mother about her father's safety. The mother looked down at her daughter, pushing her red-brownish hair away from her face and tucking it behind her ear. Her eyes were filled with sadness, and she struggled to find the right words to comfort her daughter. Seeing her mother in tears, the girl began to cry as well.Despite the turmoil surrounding them, the mother and daughter clung to each other, seeking warmth and comfort in each other's embrace. As the battle raged on outside, they could only hope and pray for their survival."Dad is alright," the mother said, her voice trembling as tears rolled down her bruised cheeks. "We are going to be alright, we are not going to die. Okay? We will be fine."Her mother's lips quivered as she hugged her daughter again, trying to reassure her. But it was more like she was trying to convince herself that they would survive the war. The girl nuzzled her nose at the crook of her mother's neck, squeezing her tightly, not wanting to lose another parent. Deep down, she knew the answer to her question already. Her father was dead, killed in the crossfire, and he was not coming back.As they hugged each other, the sound of explosions echoed in the distance, instilling fear in their hearts. The mother knew that staying there was not safe, and so she pushed the door open and stepped outside, her daughter's legs wrapped around her waist, her face still buried in her neck. The mother savoured every moment of the embrace, knowing that it might be the last time she would ever feel her daughter's skin. All she cared about right now was making sure that her daughter got out alive and saw the wonders of growing up to be an adult. She said a silent prayer, asking the Lord for mercy on her soul and her daughter's, to protect her from death and the dangers of the outside world. As she ran towards safety, the mother stepped out of the house and saw a bullet coming straight at her in slow motion. Without hesitation, she turned around to shield her daughter from the incoming bullet, taking the impact herself. As she fell to the ground, her daughter cried out in horror, tears streaming down her face. She cradled her mother in her arms, whispering words of love and comfort, but her mother's eyes had already closed, and she knew that she was gone. The girl sobbed uncontrollably, holding onto her mother's lifeless body, as the sound of gunfire echoed in the distance. As Patty cried, she heard footsteps approaching. She tried to wipe her tears away, but they kept streaming down her face. She looked up and saw a group of soldiers walking towards her. Fear took hold of her as she wondered what they would do to her.One of the soldiers kneeled down to her level, and Patty flinched away. But the soldier just smiled at her, a sad smile. "I'm so sorry for your loss, little one," he said softly. Patricia barely glanced at him.The man didn't say anything, he just sat there with her, waiting for her to calm down. Eventually, Pat's sobs slowed and she looked up at him.“What's your name?” She asked, her voice still trembling. The man smiled kindly. “My name is John. What's your name?”“I'm Pat,” she replied, still sniffling.“Okay, Pat. Do you know what happened here? Why there are people shooting?”Pat shook her head. “No. I was just with my mom and then...” She trailed off, not wanting to think about it anymore.John nodded. “Okay. Well, we're going to get you out of here, Pat. But we need to do it safely. Can you come with me to meet my friend over there? He's going to help us.”Pat hesitated, but then nodded slowly. She stood up, holding onto John's hand tightly as he led her over to the other man. As they walked away from the house, Patty looked back one last time. She saw her mom's lifeless body lying on the ground, the blood still staining her gown. Patty felt a pang of sorrow, but then she closed her eyes and prayed for her mom's soul. The man introduced himself as Tom, and he helped them get into a helicopter that had just landed nearby. Pat was nervous, but John stayed with her the whole time, reassuring her that everything was going to be okay.As they flew away from the scene, Pat looked down at the city below. It was chaos - smoke rising from buildings, people running and screaming. She couldn't believe this was happening.John must have noticed her staring because he said, “It's going to be okay, Pat. We're going to get you somewhere safe. The other agents will take care of the rest.”Pat nodded, still holding tightly onto John's hand. She didn't know what the future held, but for the first time since her parents' deaths, she felt like maybe she had a chance to survive."Agent Pat, Agent Pat, do you read me?" The voice of Agent Cole buzzed in her ear. She couldn't help but roll her eyes, but as a junior agent, she has to respect him. John practically begged her to put up with Cole.Chewing on her gum, she blew a bubble and lets it pop before replying, "Yes, sir. Loud and clear." She loaded bullets into her revolver and waited for his next command."Get out of there, find somewhere to hide until the backup team arrives. The place is heavily guarded. Get out of there, Agent Pat," he ordered. She knew she couldn't just sit tight and wait for backup when innocent lives are at risk."What if they get killed?" she challenged him."Obey my command, Agent Pat," he barked. She can't resist rolling her eyes again - Cole hated it when she disobeys him, but she loves pushing his buttons."Okay," she said, deciding to humor him for now."Good," he responded before falling silent.Patricia muted the earpiece, wanting to focus on the task at hand. She dropped her du
Patricia entered the building, nodding and waving at the people she passed. Despite her efforts to put on a fake smile, she couldn't help but notice the baffled looks on their faces. "Maybe I need to work on my acting skills," she thought to herself. As she walked through the halls, she could feel her guard slowly coming down. There were only two people in the building who she felt comfortable being herself around - Agent John and...With a determined look on her face, she pushed open the door to her colleague's office. Inside, she found her typing away at her computer, her reading glasses perched low on her nose. She seemed completely engrossed in whatever she was doing. As she watched her colleague work, Patricia couldn't help but reminisce about how they had met. She smiled at the memory, feeling a warmth spread throughout her body. "Ah, the good old days," she thought to herself, still smiling.Flashback Begins,Eleven-year-old Patricia sat at the end of the cafeteria, her table ne
Patricia seethed with anger and hatred towards the officials of the Fighting Crime Agency. She despised the senseless people who ran the sham organization. "That is the only option they gave. If you succeed in investigating the company, they will consider you being a good agent,” John, her superior, said with a sigh.Patricia scoffed, “Why the hell are they investigating the company?”“Well, they believe the company is into some shady business since they are the most successful company in the world. They took an investigation on the company, they did not find anything tangible so that is when they thought that you need to seduce the CEO to get closer to him, so you can know what he is hiding.”As soon as John finished speaking, Patricia burst into laughter. "I see. So because of their jealousy, I'm asked to behave like a whore, a DESPERATE SLUT. I should seduce him just to bring down his company.” She felt resentment towards the jealous officials who came up with the ridiculous plan.“
Marco's alarm buzzed, jolting him awake. He groaned as he remembered his impending interview. With only an hour to spare, he decided to freshen up. As he scrubbed his body, he toyed with the idea of a new necklace design, but his groggy mind refused to cooperate. He needed caffeine, and fast.He rushed to the nearest Starbucks, the baristas already knew his name and his order. As he waited for his Americano, he noticed people snapping photos of him. He was used to being a recluse, only appearing in public when he craved coffee. But to others, he was an enigma, and they seized every opportunity to catch a glimpse of him.He settled down with his pencil and sketchbook, eager to let his creativity flow. However, the constant chatter and noise around him proved to be too distracting. Frustrated, he headed to his office, but his plans were thwarted by a head-on collision with someone. His coffee spilled all over his crisp navy blue shirt, and his briefcase tumbled to the ground. He cursed h
Patricia sat nervously in front of the four interviewers, her gaze fixed on the floor, not daring to meet the eyes of the CEO, Marco Gabriel. She had never felt so doubtful of herself before; usually, she was confident and unafraid to look anyone in the eye. But in this case, it was different. She wasn't afraid of Marco, per se, but rather his decision. She feared that what she did in the restaurant would influence his decision not to employ her. She had her fingers crossed, hoping he would consider her with the certificates she presented to him. If only she hadn't spilled coffee on him, she would have sat confidently with no ounce of fear."Why the hell did he not send somebody?" she snorted silently, still hoping he would give her the job. It wasn't because she wanted to avoid going back to the agency; she didn't care about that anymore. But she had undergone extensive training, and she didn't want it to go to waste. Plus, she had had a childhood dream of being a secretary, just like
"Hey, did you get the job?" Chloe asked eagerly, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.Patricia's lips drooped and her eyelids lowered as she stared back at Chloe. Chloe raised an eyebrow and waited for a response. But Patricia remained silent, emitting a deep sigh that made Chloe restless. She had never seen Pat like this before. Patricia was always emotionless and kept her feelings to herself. Finally, Patricia spoke. "Nobody showed me the picture of the CEO. I didn't know who he was until I got there," she said, her voice heavy with disappointment.Chloe chuckled. "You didn't care to ask? I thought you were always researching stuff before meddling into it. Well...I can't believe the almighty Patricia forgot to do her research," she teased."You're sounding like I'm not human," Patricia quipped.Chloe put her hands on her waist and said, "Oh, girl, you're not human. If you were, you would have been tired after going on countless missions. You're so good at keeping a stoic face, you make
Chloe was grooving to the beat, swaying her hips like a pro while multitasking as she cooked up a storm. Suddenly, she heard footsteps and looked up to see Patricia descending the stairs. Chloe couldn't help but stare as she took in Patricia's surprising attire. The woman who usually dons shorts and trousers was now wearing a navy-blue dress that stopped above her knees. Chloe was bewildered, wondering what could have led Patricia to wear something she considers slutty.Chloe's thoughts went haywire as she tried to figure out what could be the reason for the wardrobe change. Maybe Patricia was going for a date? But then again, Chloe knew that Patricia had a reputation for leaving boys broken and bruised. Chloe let out a deep breath, realizing that her imagination was running wild, and she needed to get to the bottom of Patricia's outfit choice.Chloe let out a deep sigh as she looked at Pat's attire. “Where are you headed, Pat?” She inquired, unable to contain her curiosity.“To work,
“Good morning, this is Marco Lux Company. Have you seen your goods?” Patricia said in a professional tone as she held the handset between her ear and shoulder.“Yes, I have. Thank you,” the woman on the other end replied before hanging up.Patricia yawned and ran her hands through her hair, already feeling exhausted. She had been making non-stop calls for three hours and had successfully contacted almost thirty customers. Most of them had received their goods, but fifteen had not.She groaned and flipped through the file to the next page, her eyes widening at the number of remaining callers. She started to laugh before banging her head on the table in frustration. She felt like crying - on her first day, she was already tired from just talking. "F**k my life," she muttered before banging her head again. She glared at the file with so much hatred that she flung it away. It landed near the door with a thud. She then picked up the landline and dialed a number.“If I may ask, why are you c
