Downward Spiral

I cook tea for us all, and then after everyone finishes, Helen leaves to go home. Liam gets up as she is leaving, and I take the girls to bed.

Afterwards, I find Jackson. I need to tell him. She is his Mum, and I feel awful if it is something serious and he has no idea.

Sitting here, I explain to him about today. He doesn’t look too worried, which makes me feel better because if he isn’t, then I am probably overreacting. He leans forward and kisses me, smiling, and I feel myself relax.

“Well, that is a relief. When she mentioned doctors, and it would create more upset, I panicked a little.” I smile, feeling myself relax more. I was just overreacting. Even Jackson was looking at me like I was crazy.
