CHAPTER 10

I pressed the doorbell on Eula's house thrice and waited patiently for that witch to come out. I've been shivering here for almost an hour!

I love winter but I don't think it's the right time for it!

I coughed and frowned right after when I saw the familiar Audi of aunt Emeres, Eula's mom. She parked her car in front when she saw me standing in front of their gate.

"Goodness gracious! What are you doing outside here?! You can just come in! How long have you been waiting here?" She asked in a very worried tone. I coughed once again, this is that witch's fault.

"Almost an hour, auntie Ermes! Argh, that witch is really irritating!" I complained. Aunt Ermes was like my second mother- or a mother that I never had. She's very kind to the point that she never held a grudge against me or my mother for ruining her family. I love her for that!

"That long?!" she exclaimed. She guides me through her car and gave me her jacket.

"Thanks, aunt," I said gratefully and gave her a warm smile. We entered their house and I was immediately greeted by Pula.

"Come here, Pula! Good girl!" She jumped to my arms as I caressed her fur.

"Arf! Arf! Arf!" she wagged her tail at me which gave me a warm feeling inside.

"I'll leave you here for a while, it's a good thing that you came here. That child is still not coming out of the room. I'm worried, she has not eaten anything yet." My eyes widened upon hearing that. I put Pula down and frowned.

"What do you want? Coffee? Tea? Chocolate-"

"Coffee will do, auntie," I said. She left me in the living room, she's probably giving me the sign.

I walked upstairs, feeling a little nervous. I suddenly remembered Beau... that trash is really getting into my nerves.

I did not bother to knock and just opened the doorknob but to my dismay, it's locked.

"Eula babe? It's me, Florence!" I said but I did not get any response. I knocked once again but I didn't get any response.

I can feel my heart beating fast. I'm starting to get nervous. Damn it, if something happened to that witch I'll make sure to hunt whoever that fucker down!

My face briightened up when an idea popped into my head.

I ran and went to their garage to grab some rope. If she can climb up to my room when we were just a child, then I can climb up to her room too!

I headed to their backyard and tied the rope around my body. I climbed up to the tree and threw the rope on the rock on her balcony.

"If I die, this would be your fault, witch." I mumbled and closed my eyes as I jumped and swung my body to the balcony. It made a loud thud as my back hits the floor of her balcony. Damn, that hurts!

"Ouch.." I cried in pain. I heard the door of her balcony opened revealing Eula. My jaw dropped at the sight of her.

Her eyes were red and puffy, her eyebags is very visible too. Her hair is messy and her white shirt is crumpled.

"What the..." I mumbled and eyed her from head to toe.

"freak happened to you?! You are an absolute mess!" I shouted. She motioned me to shut up as we went inside her room. She looked paranoid as she locked her balcony.

My jaw literally dropped I sought her room. There were tons of padlocks on the door and even on the balcony!

"What happened?! Are you okay, witch?" I asked and placed my hand on her forehead. She's kinda warm which I think is just normal.

"I cannot tell it... I'm already in a lot of troubles, I don't want you to be part of it too." She said and went back to her messy bed. She hides in her comforter. I wander my eyes around and mentally face palmed myself when I saw a picture of the very first guy she talked to at school.

"Witch, our intestines are already connected. Your misery is my misery too so stop acting like a hero and tell me what's bothering you." I said and sat beside her. She went out from the comforter and ran a hand through her face.

"I'm so dead..." she mumbled to herself as if I can't hear her.

"Why? Spill the tea, witch. You looked like a real witch right now, do you know that?" I said and rolled beside her.

"Gosh, this stupid mouth always gets me in trouble. I shouldn't tell you this, but since you are a stubborn bitch, fine!" she sat and put a pillow above her thighs.

"I released some information about the school that no one should know, I was responsible for those documents yet I used it for my personal gain. I'm sure that Beau is after me. I'll be dead if I show up in school." I eyed her suspiciously. It's so unlikely of her, the Eula I know isn't selfish and doesn't take advantage of things she's privileged of. But I should trust her, I think she has a reason behind it.

"I won't ask what is it, but I'll help you forget it in the meantime," I said and stood up from the left side of the bed. I forced her to stand up as well, she groaned and threw a pillow at me. I glared and pushed her inside the bathroom.

Her bathroom has two bathtubs and two showers exclusive only for us. It was there since we were a child.

"We'll relax together!" I said and fill the bathtub with water. I picked some bubble bath and poured it into it.

"Witch, we don't have a wine!" I complained. She looked at me and smirked.

"Bitch, do you think I'm not prepared? I already predicted this shit, I have a bottle of margarita, tequila, vodka, and beers in my bag. Now, are you ready to get wasted?" she said which earned a mischievous grin from me.

Bubble bath party time!
