CHAPTER 11

~9 pm that day~

Kyle had been overly bothered about what he was going to say to Damian. After his call, when he closed from work, he personally located Amber’s house to plead with her. It was either he found a way to get her or he suffered and that was not a plan for him.

However, when he arrived, the latter was shocked to see the evacuation process and after asking, no one saw Amber leave the house or see her around.

He drew in a long deep breath, releasing it slowly to help calm his nerves. The action was repeated a few more times and finally, he took out his phone from his pocket.

“Let’s do this.” His fingers tapped on his phone, brought out Damian’s number and dialled it. Seconds passed before a voice was heard from the other end of the phone.

“Evening sir.”

“Yes?” Damian’s bored voice responded. He could tell what Kyle wanted to say but he wanted to taunt him first. Next time when he gave him a task to handle, he would learn to do it fast.
