The mysterious visitor.

I found myself seeking consolation in the reassuring presence of my close friend Sandy when I was dejected, broken, and disappointed. I needed her understanding and wisdom. My tear-stained face caught Sandy's eye as I walked into her room. She ran over and tightly embraced me, her expression showing concern.

I struggled to say "Sandy," sobbing uncontrollably, unable to express the depth of my feelings. As I cried on, my pain seeming too much to bear, her sincere concern grew. I cried quietly because I couldn't think of the right words to use and it seemed to make my misery sound worse.

Sandy softly held me as she led me to sit on her comfortable bed, her speech laced with compassion as she did her best to lessen my suffering. "Angie, what's wrong? Why do you feel such pain?" With anxiety in her eyes, she enquired.
