Samantha

As I was settling in at my desk, I noticed a tall drink of water (as my mother would say) walk in and stop at Stella’s desk. The man looked to be about 6’1’ or maybe 6’2’ with straight short blonde hair and hazel eyes. He has a tailored suit that shows his lean physique. I watch the interaction between him and Stella.

“Hello, Mr. Evans. How are you doing today?” Stella asks.

The guy learns over Stella’s desk. “Stella, you and I both know that you have known me since I was small so I don’t know why you feel the need to call me by my last name. Please call me Josh for the last time.”

“Okay Josh. You can go in, nobodies in there.”

Josh walks around Stella’s desk while looking at me. Then stops at my desk. “Well who do we have here?”

For some reason, I don’t seem to be able to speak.

“You have a name sweetheart?”

“Samantha Clarkson.” I say pulling myself together.

Josh extends his hand for a handshake. “I am Josh. One of Charles’s oldest friends. Do you mind if I call you Sam?”

I take his hand and shake it. “Nice to meet you Josh and it’s fine if you call me Sam. Most people do.”

He releases my hand.” May I ask what do you?”

“I am Mr. Maxwell’s new PA.”

“I see. Well, I guess I will see you around.” He says before walking to Mr. Maxwell’s office door with a smile.

It’s funny before I saw Charles Maxwell and his friend Josh I haven’t notice a man in years. I guess it’s fear that keeps me from doing that. I did notice Josh but not like I notice Mr. Maxwell. There was a feeling that I can’t explain when I looked at him. When our hands touched, my body started to tingle. None of that happened with Josh but damn was he cute.

Stella turns in her chair to face me. “You’ll get used to seeing him around. Josh and Charles have been friend since third grade. Josh is the only person that can walk into Charles’ office unannounced so you never have to worry about that.”

“So, he spends a lot of time around here?”

“When he was a kid he would come with Charles every time he visited the office. Charles’ father Stan wanted Charles to have someone to play with since his sister never wanted to come. Stan believed that Josh had a calming effect on Charles. Years ago, Charles was hard to handle when his mother died.”

“Wow that must have been hard on him.”

“Yeah it was hard on the whole family.”

I allow curiosity to get the best of me. “How did his mother die?”

The color drained from Stella’s face. The look she gave me made me afraid of the answer.

“That honey is not my story to tell.” Stella answered before returning to her work.

                                                     Charles

I was about to yell at whoever was walking into my office without announcing themselves until I look and see that it is Josh. “What are you doing here? Don’t stockbrokers need to be on the floor exchanging stock or something?’

“Yeah, I could be doing that but I took the morning office. I had to run my mother to the doctor. I had some time before her appointment and I decided to come over her and fuck with you for a bite.”

With a laugh, I say “Of course you did.”

“So, I see you didn’t listen to me.”

“I have no idea what you are talking about.”

“Are you trying to tell me that’s not the girl you were telling me about?”

“So, what if she is?”

“You’re asking for trouble, but I will say one thing. She’s hot as hell.”

I didn’t like the fact that Josh finds Samantha attractive. “And? Most of my personal assistants have been beautiful.”

“Yeah, but I talk to this one and she talked back. She didn’t act like she had a stick up her ass or that she was better than me.”

For some reason, I didn’t like knowing that Josh had a conversation with Samantha. “Samantha or any of my other assistants are not here to entertain you with small talk. They are here to work.”

“Calm down, tiger. I just introduced myself and asked her what her name was.”

“You stay away from her.”

Josh starts to laugh. “It’s already starting. Look at you. You sound like you’re marking your territory. Did you hire her because you wanted her for yourself?”

I picked up the pen and began tapping it against my desk. For some reason, I’m not sure how to answer Josh’s question. I feel this weird attraction to Samantha, but I would never touch her since she works for me. I guess I’ll go with the simple answer. “No, I don’t want her for myself, but I also don’t need my P.A. coming in here all heartbroken due to my best friend.”

“Who said I would break her heart?” Josh asks with a smirk on his face.

“Look at you. You haven’t even done anything yet, and you have the look of the cat that has eaten the mouse. Stay away from her. I mean it.”

Josh throws his hands up in defeat. “I’ll leave her alone, but I would like to point out once again how possessive you are about her.”

“I am not possessive about her. She is just another employee. I have always asked you to stay away from them.”

“Yeah, I guess that’s true, but you are using your stern and forceful tone with me, which has me thinking there’s more to the story than you’re letting on. You know sooner or later you’re going to tell me.”

“Shut up, there isn’t shit to tell.”

“Sure, there isn’t. Anyway, on that note, I will see you later.”

As Josh starts to head for the door, I ball up a piece of paper and throw it at him, hitting him in the back.

Josh turns around, “What the hell was that for?”

“For being a pain in the ass.”

Josh begins to laugh. “Sure, you’re right.”

After Josh left I sat there thinking that maybe I needed to admit to myself that there is some kind of pull between Samantha and I but that might do more harm than good considering I know none thing about her other than what I read in her file. I have two options. One is to stay away from her, which will be hard to do since she is my assistant. Second try to get to know here better. Maybe once I know her, I will find that she is just as bad as Lisa.

I use my intercom to call Samantha into my office. There is a knock on the door. “Come in.”

Samantha sticks her head into the door. “You wanted to see me?”

“Yes, I did. Please come in and close the door behind you.”

As she took a seat in front of me, I was thinking about how I was going to approach this. I must be careful, considering that I am her boss. That’s one of the reasons if not the main reason I don’t sleep with my employees. “Listen, I was thinking that you and I will be working closely together, which means we will be spending a lot of time together. I think it would be best to get to know one another, so that we can be comfortable in each other’s presence. Does that make sense?’

“I guess so in theory, but what do you mean get to know one another?’

“We are going to have dinners and lunches together for business meeting so I was thinking that I would take you out to lunch today. How does that sound?”

“It sounds like you want me to be an escort, and that’s not what I’m here for.”

Even though her comment had a rude tone, I must say I respect the fact that she doesn’t want to be mistreated.

“Listen, I don’t have to resort to hiring escorts. You will be going to these dinners, luncheons, and other events as my employee, not as someone I’m dating. I thought that I made that clear before. If you can’t seem to understand your job description, then let me know so I can find someone who can.”

That was a small pause.

“I’m sorry if I got the wrong idea. I know that my job is to be at your disposal at any time you need me.”

“That is correct, so once again I will be taking you out for lunch, so don’t make plans. Understand?’

“Yes, Mister Maxwell I understand.”

“Before you go, I will email you the quarterly report from each division. Please gather all the figures and place them in a single report for me so I can review them. Can you have it finish before we go to lunch?’

“Yes sir. I’ll get right on it now.” She responds before walking out the door.

As she walks out the door I watch her ass shake. Dirty questions like what kind of panties she is wearing run through my mind. Maybe she doesn’t have any on at all. Yeah, she does, because I can tell she's a little wound up. I hope when she goes shopping she’s buy some lace panties so I can rip them off. Since she doesn’t know where to shop or what I like, I will have Stella contact Liza to help her. Time to get back to work. I have never allowed pussy to come before work and I won’t start now.

Today seems to be moving more slowly than usual, but the time still gets away from me. I’m supposed to be looking over reports from my last investment, but my mind won’t focus on them. It keeps traveling back to thoughts of the round, beautiful ass that belongs to the equally beautiful woman who is my assistant. Maybe I should transfer her to someone else. No then I would have to find another assistant which means more work for me. Anyway, I doubt moving her would solve a thing.

Plus, what the hell am I supposed to say? You’re too damn beautiful and distracting to be my assistant. Somehow, I don’t think she would take it as a compliment.  Maybe I should skip lunch and try to stay away from her, but there’s something about this woman that makes me want to be around her, get to know her. Fuck I must stop this. This isn’t me. Fuck, I’m in trouble.

I notice it’s lunch time. I stack all my papers together and leave them on my desk while I gather my jacket and walk out of the office. I stop in front of Samantha’s desk.

“Are you ready for lunch?”

She stops what she’s doing and looks up. “Maybe I should work through lunch to make sure that I have the report ready for you by the end of the day.”

“Samantha, I asked you to put a bunch of figures together into a report. Figures that you will get for the different divisions. I have no doubt that you will have them done by the end of the day. Now stop trying to weasel out of lunch and get your stuff together.”

Samantha’s face tells me everything. Her eyes give away that she is debating what to say and do next. Her face gives away that she wants to argue more, but she thinks better of it. She shuts down her computer and grabs her purse.

I turn to look at Stella. “Stella doll can you hold down the fort. No calls unless it’s something important.”

“No problem, Charles.”

“Thank you, Stella.”

She gives me a smile. “You know it’s never any problem. Have fun.”

I give her a slight nod while placing my hand on Samantha’s lower back. I can feel her tense up. My brain says remove your hand, but my body says it feels right to touch her. My body wins out; I keep my hand in place as we walk through the open floor plan of the office. As we walk, everyone’s eyes are on us with puzzled looks on their faces.

They’re not used to seeing me go to lunch with anyone other than Stella. Samantha doesn’t seem to notice the looks that we are getting. She keeps her head up and keeps walking. We reach the elevator and ride it down to the garage. Standing there next to her reminds me of our first elevator ride together. She was just some pretty woman with golden skin and a messy bun. Now she seems to be becoming more so quickly.

The elevator arrives at the garage, the doors open, and we walk out. I place my hand back on her lower back to guide her once more. We walk in silence to the end of the underground parking garage towards my parking space. I break from her, walking forward towards the car. I open the passenger side car door that’s when I notice that she hasn’t reach the car. She stops in her tracks.

I look around, assessing the area, wondering what has made her stop. I see that she is looking at the car as if she is considering whether to get in.

“What’s the matter?” I ask her curiously.

“Nothing,” she replies as she enters the car.

I shut her door and walk over to the driver's side to enter the car. I start the engine while looking over at Samantha. Once again, a puzzle look appears on her face.

“Are you scared to ride with me?’

She turns to face me, but has yet to answer me.

“Well?’

Samantha shakes her head. “No, I’m not afraid to ride with you. Should I be?’

“I don’t see why. I don’t need to kidnap anyone to get a woman.” I say as I wink.

“Never said you did.”

“Then why are you looking as if you are trying to decide if you should jump out the car or not.”

“It’s not that.”

“Okay, once again, Samantha, what is it?’

“I’m just surprise by your car.”

I’m not exactly sure if I should ask why, but I couldn’t help myself. “Why are you surprised by my car?”

Samantha bites her bottom lip. I can tell she unsure what she should say. I can tell that she likes to think things through before speaking unless you push her buttons, which I love to do.

I wait for Samantha to answer me before I start to drive. She looks at me as if pleading for me to drive and forget the conversation but that’s not going to happen.

Samantha gives out a small sigh “I thought that someone like you would have a flashy car like a Porsche.”

My eyebrow narrows in confusion. “What do you mean someone like me?”

“I mean someone who is rich and good-looking.”

The look on her face lets me know that she didn’t think before she spoke. She just spoke her mind. I couldn’t help by smile. I begin to drive letting her think that the conversation is over.

We were halfway to dinner, and I decided to pick up the conversation again. “So, you think I’m good looking?” I gave her a quick glance in her direction in time to see that she was rolling her eyes. “So, what’s the matter with my car? My black and silver Lincoln Navigator isn’t flashy enough?”

            Samantha doesn’t speak.

“Well I’m sorry to disappoint but I like a lot of steel around me.” Samantha doesn’t response and I know she no longer is willing to engage with me. We remain silent the rest of the ride.

I park in a small parking lot of the side of a diner. After killing the engine, I get out the car prepared to walk over and open the door for her but before I could Samantha has already climb out the car. I walk over to her side.

“What’s the matter you couldn’t wait for me to open the door for you?”

Samantha meets me in the front of the car. “Why do I need to wait for you?”

“Because a gentleman opens the door for the lady.” I answer.

“I am more than capable of getting out the car myself.”

This woman is exhausting. “Let’s go.”

We walk toward the diner. “Are we eating here?” Samantha asks.

“Why is it too good for you princess?” I’m assuming by the look on her face Samantha doesn’t like that nickname. She decides to walk into the dinner without say anything.

SamanthaI arrive at work in record time and walk through the office as I normally do, but there was something different this time. As I pass Stella’s desk, I notice she isn’t there. Thinking that she might be in with Charles, I leaned against his door to see if I could hear anything. Yes, I know it’s wrong to eavesdrop, but I don’t care. I didn’t have to press my ear very hard. There was loud laughter that came from the other side. I knock on the door.“Come in,” he saysI open the door, expecting to find Stella there, but instead I find a young, slender woman dressed to kill in designer clothes sitting on the couch with Charles on the other end. Her hand was gently grazing Charles’ arm. I felt a ping of jealousy. I have no right to be jealous, but that doesn’t stop the monster from roaring its ugly head. There must have been a look on my face, one that made Charles realize that I was watching their hands, because Charles removed his hand from hers as if her touch burned him. He st

Michelle stands too close, and her eyes linger longer than they need to while taking our order. I see by the look on Samantha’s face that she has noticed as well. Michelle leaves to fill our drink orders. I was about to say something to Samantha when I heard music playing. Samantha begins rifling through her purse. She pulls out her cell phone, and that’s when I realize that the music was coming from her phone. I’m surprised to hear the song “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera playing. Samantha looks at her phone but does not answer it. Instead, she places it on the table, then places her purse back inside the booth next to her. “What?’ She asks. I can tell by the way she talks that my staring is a bother, but Samantha is a wonder to look at. But I would rather not tell her that. “I’m just shocked by your ringtone. I thi

My mind wanders to the woman who is sitting outside my office door. What am I going to do with this woman? I have hired many attractive PA’s before, but this woman beats them all. I feel an attraction to her that I have never felt before, and that’s not good. Maybe I made a mistake in hiring her. Just then, my mind imagines having her pinned against the wall with her skirt up around her hips while I pound into her repeatedly. The thought causes a tightness in my pants. For the first time, I think my cock may have something to do with my business decision. “Damn it,” I say while slamming my fist on my desk. “Fuck just stay away from her” is what I tell myself. I thought I had this in check when I hired her, but my cock is not in agreement. I’m thankful that she didn’t notice the bulge in my pants w

SamanthaI get home, slip off my shoes, and open a bottle of white wine. I need this after the day I’ve had. I went to four other job interviews after the one at Maxwell Publishing. They were all brutal. Each one had wall-to-wall women who looked like models applying for the jobs. The job market is tough right now, so I have no idea what my chances are of getting a call back. I take a seat on my couch with my glass of wine in hand. I place the glass of wine in my hand on the couch, making sure not to spill as I lie back and close my eyes. Images appear in my head as soon as I close my eyes. Not surprising to me that the images are of the handsome man Charles Maxwell. I can’t help but replay the sound of his voice in my head. His voice is strong and forceful. It sends a chill down my back. I imagine his hands caressing my body. As the thoughts run through my mind, my heart begins to race. My breathing becomes shallow. My eyes fly open, shocked at how my body is
