Chapter 2

She's Her Mother's Daughter **Who is Sharon?**

       Seth's P O V

We continued staring at each other and I was beginning to draw closer to her.

Our faces were just inches away. I wanted to kiss her but something told me not to.

She might think weirdly of me considering that we just met yesterday so I withheld myself and stood up.

"Em..Rose let's just walk around shall we?" I requested.

"I'm studying you know," she pursed her lips forward.

"Yeah, I know but I can't leave you here alone and I don't want people to see us alone this morning," I told her.

"Why?" She asked.

"Well, you know...they might start thinking weirdly considering the fact that I've never arrived this early before," I replied.

"Hmm.. Where do we go to then?" She asked.

"Just around the school compound, let me show you places you don't know," I offered and and stretched forth my hand to her and she grabbed it after a while.

We walked around the school garden laughing at our own silly jokes.

Watching her laugh gives me goosebumps and I love the feeling.

     *A week later.*

Days passed by quickly and I've been preparing myself to ask her out.

Today is Wednesday and I've told her I'm gonna be escorting her to the market.

I told Marcus about my plans to ask her out and he encouraged me to go ahead with it.

I couldn't wait for school hours to end.

And luckily it ended. I rushed home in time to change into something cuter.

I aren't gonna play ball so I won't smell like sweat I'm just gonna watch Marcus and other boys play hoping Rose will show up earlier.

Few minutes later I heard someone yell my name and turned to see Rose standing at the other end of the road.

I quickly hid the flower I bought behind me and walked up to her.

"Hi!"

"Hi!" She replied blushing, I smiled.

"Em... Can we go over there and talk for a sec?" I asked and she agreed.

The other side was just like a field but was not as big as the field we play football in.

There is a wooden chair there so we sat down facing each other. 

I cleared my throat and started.

"Um..Rose you know I really like you, don't you?" At my question she cracked before replying.

"Yeah..yes I'm aware and I like you too," she told.

"Okay..since that's the case..I em.. I want you to be my girlfriend," I blurted out a little bit scared that she might reject me.

"Huh! You want me to be your girlfriend?" She asked staring keenly at me.

"Yes and please I beg you, don't say no," I rushed my reply.

She bit her lower lips and stood up immediately.

I also stood staring at her and hoping she agrees.

"Uh...don't you think it is..um....?"

"No, no it's not anything, please agree so I'll be aware that you're fully mine, I mean other guys may snatch you away from me," I spoke so softly.

She turned away from me, then sank her fingers into her hair and for a while she remained like that. Muted.

"Do your parents know about this?" She asked after a while. 

"No, they don't and I don't wanna tell them," I answered.

"Why?" She questioned.

"Don't you think it is right to tell our parents?"

"I know its right but.. we have to keep this between us, I don't want someone advising me against it. Please," I pleaded.

"Uh..okay if you say so," she agreed.

"So that mean you..have...agreed?" I draw my words to be certain.

She nodded with a smile.

"Yes and that's because I like you a lot," she informed. I released the breath I never knew I was holding then, an hugged her immediately.

"Thank you, thank you, I'm so happy."

I disentangled from the hug and fixed the flower into her hair.

"Hmm much better," I muttered staring at her.

And I can't hold it anymore - the urge to kiss her. I can't. So I planted my lips on hers immediately kissing her passionately, she responded by giving me entrance.

We broke out of the kiss after sometime, I took my hand to her face and caressed her.

She's so beautiful. The most pretty, intelligent and nicest girl I've ever seen. 

She beamed her smiles at me.

"Alright let's go to the market then," I said and we both giggled and left.

       Rose's P O V 

Its been days since I started dating Seth.

I won't deny it, he is a nice guy and my feelings for him are only getting stronger.

We don't talk much when student are around, only Marcus knows about us.

But we spend most of our evening together.

I arrived school very early as usual and found him waiting for me already.

"What? You arrived before me?" I asked not believing my eyes.

"Well, I couldn't sleep, do you blame me?" He replied and pulled me to himself.

He planted kisses over my body, my neck, back, ear and I just kept giggling.

"I miss you a lot, its as if I haven't seen you in days." He purred.

"I know right? I also missed you a lot." I agreed then kissed his nose.

Later that morning, I forced him to study with me for a while and he agreed to it.

Students started arriving and everywhere became bright.

I saw a girl I've never seen before in the class.

She was really beautiful and looked classy too.

She came in front of the class and announced that her father told her that she'll be getting married to Seth after they graduate.

Huh! Married to Seth?

What nonsense? I thought but didn't make a move.

I'll just ask Seth about it after school.

He didn't even make a move but just kept chewing the gum he was chewing. 

The girl who's name turned out to be Sharon is someone everyone in the school seems to know. Well, I don't know her tho. She walked to Seth's desk and sat down on it.

She was equally chewing gum.

"Hey, handsome! Do you miss me?" The girl yelled and wanted touching his face but he was quick to avoid her touch.

"You mean miss your tiny ass or your ugly face?" He asked and everyone in class bursted out laughing. 

"You know it. You know we'll be getting married whether you like it or not." She half yelled.

He stood up immediately and went out of the class without uttering another word to her. Marcus who was sitting beside him followed suite.

I sighed and continued with what I was doing.

After school hours.

We met at the field as usual and I took him to the other side to fully inquire about this Sharon girl and her claims.

"I have a surprise for you." He informed and brought out a cell phone.

"What??" I screamed.

"Its beautiful."

"Yeah and it's for you," he said while I glared at him.

"No, I can't take that," I told him immediately.

"Please. This is my first official gift since we started dating. Please accept it." He pleaded but I insisted.

"What will my parents say when they see me with a cell phone?"

"You don't have to show them," he replied.

"Are you serious?" I asked standing up.

"Please."

He continued pleading and I received it reluctantly.

"So who is Sharon and what was she talking about in class?" I inquired after a while.

"Don't mind the bitçh. I won't marry her. I'll only get married to you," he cooed and I smiled.

"Really? You mean you have nothing to do with her?" I asked for clarification.

"I swears that I have nothing to do with her. I promise," he replied crossing his heart. I happyily hugged him afterwards.

He escorted me to the market and took me back to the field before I left for home.

      Seth's P O V

I was really troubled, what is my dad trying to do by saying I'll get married to that rude girl?

I can't marry her. Never!

Marcus noticed my mood and I had to explain explained things to him.

"I know your dad, he'll force you to marry her expect he didn't have a choice," he said.

"What are you trying to say?" I asked curiously. 

"If you want to be with Rose in the future then you'll have to make sure your dad won't reject her. He won't have a choice but to accept her." He clarified.

"How will that happen? What can I possibly do at my age?"

"Get her pregnant!" He replied and I flinched.

"What?? Are you kidding me??"
