Raiden's pov
"Isn't that the same girl from earlier? She looks new." Damon chuckled when the door closed behind the cute blonde girl and Foster.
I strained my ears to hear their conversation.
Amelia
That name suited her.
"If you three are just going to yap about fresh meat, at least release me. I'm getting bored." Casper exhaled annoyed.
I turn my attention back to him and reared my hand back. My fist went flying to his jaw and the satisfying sound of his jawbone breaking reaches my ears.
He grunted, spitting out the blood on the floor. "Well that's more like it, little Alpha." He mocked.
My knuckles slammed on bones and skin relentlessly. I wasn't giving that fucker enough time to heal.
By the time I was done, Casper was on his knees. He spat crimson on my shoes.
"How many?" I questioned in a deadly calm voice.
He raised his eyes to mine, a smirk still on his lips. " I told you she was willing to let me drink from her."
" I don't fucking believe your word for it Casper." I sneered, ramming my fist again on the quickly healing jawbone. It breaks again.
"Ask the human then. She literally begged me to drink from her. I knew my limits little alpha. There are a few lines on the treaty that states you can't kill me if I abide to the rules. I didn't suck her dry and she willingly let me drink from her. Ding ding. I'm an innocent man." Casper chuckled.
I glared down at him. "You will still go into questioning with my father. Just to make sure you did follow the 'rules'."
I nod at Damon and Lester to let him go.
"Fucking blood sucker." Damon kicked Casper on his ribs, hard.
Casper gasped and raised a finger. "I'll remember to pay you back for that one day Damon."
-
"That girl is really cute." Damon smirk widened, his hands going in his front pockets as his eyes flashed.
"Fresh meat." He chuckle in excitement.
"She's human. We don't frolic with humans." Lester reminded him.
Damon snorted. "What do I care if she's human or not. I just want pussy."
My jaw clenched. I didn't like the way he spoke about her for some odd reason.
" She's off limits." I grumble.
He spares me a surprise look, his brows lifting. "Since when do you claim humans?"
I raised a shoulder in a shrug. "I don't. I just don't want to clean up your mess if you screw up with a human."
Damon groaned, throwing his head back. "You guys are no damn fun. Lester I understand, but you Raiden. Who sucked the fun out of your butthole?"
I rolled my eyes. "Since I'm getting ready to take on the alpha title. I don't want you screwing it up for me."
Damon's eyes narrowed. "Jeez you already talk like a damn alpha." He shivered. "I'm losing the fun guy."
I let out an annoyed exhale as we stepped into the history class. "We need to talk about Casper's recklessness. That damn vampire keeps messing with the humans here."
"Think he'll target the new girl?" Lester wondered out loud.
I'm about to answer him when the scent of vanilla bean flutters to my nose. I inhaled deeply, the scent mouthwatering.
I scan over every head, until my eyes fall in on hers. She must've sensed my gaze, because her head snaps up.
Those eyes.
"Hey man, where you going?" Damon voiced.
I didn't know my feet were taking me to her until I sat on the chair beside her.
Her scent was stronger here, and fucking addicting.
'Call dibs on the human?' Damon chuckled through the mind link.
I stare into her eyes deeply, unable to look away for some reason. She's the first to break eye contact, and squirms away from me.
Her actions didn't sit right with me.

Amelia's pov
I'm playing with the zipper on my bag in boredom when the door opens. Seconds later, a stare burned on my head.
Unable to shrug the feeling off, I lift my head.
Only for my eyes to connect with striking green swirls.
Those guys.
I stiffen. They're in this class.
The other two had yet to notice me, but the one in the middle. The one who seem to gather my attention.
His eyes were refusing to look away. I can't say I was different, I couldn't seem to look away too. And those crazy little flutters in my stomach were not helping.
How can such a handsome guy like that, be such a huge bully?
I try to ignore the feeling and tired my best to look away. But it seemed as though I was in a trance and hadn't even notice he was just beside me until he sat down on the chair just a couple inches away from me.
I shivered slightly, feeling the penetration of his stare more now that he was so close.
And his cologne.....
What was that?
His cologne smelled good this close.
Amelia what the hell are you doing!? Look away from him!
After an inwardly fight with my mind and body, I finally was able to break eye contact with the handsome boy.
I fisted my hands on my bag and looked around. Everyone were already seated, there were no empty chairs left.
Dammit.
I couldn't escape.
And the teacher had yet to arrive to get my mind off the guy's piercing stare.
I pressed my lips together, squirming away from him.
"Amelia," His voice came as a shock to me. Deep and husky. I clenched my hands into fists, squirming more in my seat.
God, he even had a magnetic voice.
I snapped my eyes to him, my brows furrowing. "How do you know my name?"
I try to ignore the gleam of his piercing on his lip.
He nodded his head and my desk. "Your book."
I looked down at my notebook, sure enough I had my name on there.
I flushed. "Can you look away?" I asked him as I tore my eyes away from his.
"People normally look at the person they're trying to introduce themselves to. Or is that not common where you are from?" I can hear the slight amusement in his tone, which added my frustration.
When he doesn't get a response from me, he decided to introduce himself. "I'm Raiden."
His name made a shiver run down my spine and I clenched my jaw. I need to get away from this guy.
Luckily the teacher saved me by finally showing up.
The only problem was that, the entire class, Raiden had not once removed his gaze on me.
Raiden's povThe world seems to tilt for a little bit when her name came out of his mouth and my jaw locked tight." Careful Foster," I gritted my teeth, my voice dangerously low as my wolf stir. He was accusing her of something he had no proof to back. "Tread lightly with her name on your tongue," I warned. If Foster looked drained of blood a few seconds ago then now he looks far worse. His head shook violently, his shaky hands rising up as if to tell me to calm down. "I am just saying what Pickett told me and what I witnessed myself."Though my form was stiff, I was still intrigued to know where he was going with this. "Go on," I demanded, crossing my arms over my chest as I stared him down.I cannot trust him fully nor his words. He could pull another Pickett."Pickett called me earlier to let me know she was being forced to kill Giovanni. She said Amelia is forcing her. I couldn't talk her out of it," Foster took in a shaky breath. "So I went over to her place and couldn't find he
Damon's povThat cannot be right....can it?Lester's head snapped toward mine quickly, eyes wide with the same disbelief I felt.I stiffened.'Are you sure? Amelia cannot be after well.....Amelia,' I mind linked back, my brain trying to rake around the idea that Amelia was really causing this much chaos. If it was truly her...what gain would she get? Then it all clicked in my head.Amelia was the werewolf council leader's daughter. That very same leader who wanted the Lycan Queen dead.Perhaps the naive act about not knowing who she really was and what she was, was just that, an act. Maybe Amelia wanted revenge all along. Maybe we were all in a sick game where Amelia was the master of it all.' Two people have come forward with saying they've seen Amelia places she shouldn't have been. Giovanni and-Raiden pauses which only further makes me anxious. "And who?""Foster," Raiden finally said after a few tensed moments.~Raiden's pov"Get in the house Amelia," I repeated when my mate re
Damon's povThe door clicked shut behind me, muffling the frantic voices of those trying to help keep Pickett alive. I could still hear her, the rasp of her breathing in my ears, was haunting me.My hands were still stained with her blood and somehow I couldn't rub the feel of her cold skin under my palms. My wolf roamed in my head restlessly, snapping and snarling at my decision to leave her in there. He raged at me for walking out. For turning our back on her when she reached out for us."She's a murderer, "I snarl under my breath, fighting the inward battle. I needed to remind myself that despite the bond between Pickett and me, I could not care about someone who did what she did."She killed Giovanni. She killed our blood. Our family."The words echoed in the hall, but they felt void because the moment her voice cracked 'stay', I almost did.Almost.I hated her. Goddess I hated her.I brace a hand against the wall and dragged in a breath I felt like I somehow i struggled to even t
Damon's povHer body was cold in my hold. My fingers bit into her flesh, my gaze forward, afraid that if I look down at her, I'd be shattered. The bond between us throbbed. Painfully."I-She coughs and I close my eyes for a second, breathing in sharply through my nose as I try to keep my focus steady on getting her inside the pack hospital and leaving her there to rot."Dam-She coughs again, her voice now more faint, her breathing now more shallow. I can hear her lungs struggle to let every breath in."Stop," I said in a dull cold tone. "Stop talking."I would have never guessed Pickett, the shy girl in school would turn out to be my mate. But then again I would never have guessed she'd be a murderer too.I hear her wince and realize I had clutched her a little more brutal than I intended. Her small sound of pain made me loosen my grip a little.I clenched my jaw. Irritated that I still didn't want to cause her too much pain. It was that stupid bond. The bond was definitely to be bl
Amelia's povDamon's words sent a cold chill down my spine, and I don't think it was only me who was troubled by his words. The night air suddenly got colder too as more tension zaps through the air.Pickett's head lolled weakly against his chest as he steadied her on Lester's wolf form. Blood, crimson, and so red smeared down Damon's arm. Blood that came from Pickett's wound. Even Lester's fur got stained with the crimson. The sight alone made me choke as my stomach churn and throat tightened."Get her to the pack hospital now," Raiden commanded once more, his tone now more intimidating than before.Damon nods stiffly and Lester bolted into the thick foliage, disappearing into the dark. My fingers grip Raiden's arm unsteadily, the knot in my stomach growing ever more as the sight of them disappears."Do you-I started shakily, swallowing the lump that had got stuck in my throat before continuing. "Do you think he'll," my voice grow more faint, more uncertain. "Kill her?"Raiden's gri
Amelia's povThe pain I felt was unbearable. Giovanni.....the man I thought was my father for the longest, the man who cared for me like he was.....was now dead.Burnt.Murdered.By my close friend, or who I thought was my close friend, Pickett.I watch as she moves out of the shadows of the trees, her trembling hands, her legs that look like they could barely hold her weight up right now. I really, truly watch her.She doesn't look like Pickett anymore. She doesn't look like her normal self. Not with those wild eyes that showed fear and terror in their depths."I killed him," her words rung in my ears like a sharp irritating alarm."Mate!" That word snaps through the air sharply, even sharper than the sound of the sparkling fire. Damon. His mate was the very friend who killed Giovanni, his uncle.Damon's snarl was so raw, so full of pain, so full of acid that it didn't sound like how Raiden said it to me with passion. No. It sounds like a curse.Pickett's wild eyes stray to him, wide
