CHAPTER 19

AURORA'S POV

At the strike of midnight, my 16th birthday, I was completely unaware that it was my birthday and I opened my eyes standing in the middle of the forest.

How did I get here? The last thing I remembered was Vera attacking me in Connor's house. I vaguely remember being in a hospital. But that was it. I felt my stomach and I looked down because it wasn't as flat as it usually was. It was still flat, but at least my ribs weren't sticking out anymore. I actually had a little bit of fat on me. How the hell did that happen? How long was I in that hospital?

And the dress that I was wearing. It was white and beautiful and when the wind picked up it would flow with the wind and it felt amazing. I looked around me and it was the middle of the night. I could see the full moon in the sky above me but I had no memory of getting to the forest.

I looked down at myself and I felt different. I didn't feel weak. I looked at my hair and it was thick and beautiful. And for a moment, I t
