CHAPTER 18

ALPHA CONNOR'S POV

I began running to the North side of the territory, as fast as my legs would take me. And the warriors with me, they were getting left behind. They were having trouble keeping up with me. But I didn't care. I needed to get there. The warrior didn't tell me what kind of shape Aurora was in. I didn't want to ask.

He never said if she was alive or dead. Maybe he found her body and he didn't know how to tell me. He sounded very strange when he spoke to me in the mind link. Like there was more going on then him just finding Aurora. My heart was almost beating out of my chest the whole time I was running to get to them. The worst images going through my head. I couldn't help it. Everyone always imagines the worst. And that was no different here.

The warrior didn't give me any information and I was scared to death. If he had alerted me to her using a different tone then maybe I would know what I was walking into. But he didn't. So, whatever he has seen, it's not normal.
