As soon as I reached Connor I dropped to my knees and I reached out to protect us with my hand, but the flames never reached us. Connor looked up first and I was still crouching down with my face hidden in his chest. "Aurora. Look." Connor says. And I put my head up to have a look. My hand that was raised had formed some sort of protective shield that was reflecting the dragon's fire. It wasn't breaking through at all and it was protecting Connor and me. I looked at him in shock and the dragon looked more and more pissed off as it wasn't breaking through the shield until it finally gave up and it turned to fly away. I put my hand down and I stared at it in shock. I couldn't move. I didn't know what the hell just happened and I was still sitting on the ground not knowing what to do. I was hanging off the side of that cliff with the Black witch looking down on me. Knowing that she was the one doing all of this to me, I felt a really strong arm wrap around my waist and a warm body pressed against me and I turned to see Connor had climbed back up, to stop me from falling. He saw the witch standing there too and let out a growl, but then he focused on what we needed to do. He started climbing back down slowly, while his body was shielding me and I know that it definitely couldn't have been easy for him. He was a lot bigger than me, but he still had his entire body protecting me while we were climbing down the cliff. I couldn't help but wonder how he didn't fall himself. But we made it most of the way down and that's when we heard the crashing of the water below us. And Connor grabbed both of my hands from behind me and he kicked off from the cliff until we landed in the water. But he still had a hold of both of my hands and he wasn't letting go of me for anything.

"Golems. Like 'The Lord Of The Rings'?" I asked. "No. These are the real ones. And they are a lot worse." Connor says, grabbing my hand and running off the path and straight into the forest, dodging every tree in the way. I looked behind me as we were running and these little creatures were running after us. And they were a lot faster than I would have imagined. They were gaining on us and they weren't getting tired like I was. So I stopped and pulled my hand out of Connor's hand. "What are you doing?" He asked. "I am not running away from a bunch of little ass gnomes." I say looking around and picking up a reasonably sized branch. The creatures reached us in no time and I started swinging the branch at them and they would crumble the second I hit them. So the rest scattered, so that they could surround us. Connor picked up his own branch and started fighting them off, but one of them managed to climb a tree and jumped on me from above. It landed on my shoulder and when I looke

The entire Protector's pack joined in and attacked the ogre from all angles until it started screaming and yelping in pain. It was obvious that the thing couldn't talk but it couldn't take on the whole pack. So it started kicking away all of the wolves and backing away so that it could get away from us and it started running back towards the trees. Where it came from. The wolf pack started howling in victory but I looked over and I saw Connor looking back at me. "What's wrong?" I mind linked Connor. "How can you mind link with me? You haven't been initiated into the pack yet." Connor says. "I'm royalty. I can mind link with any wolf." I say calmly. Like it's something that I have always known. We wanted to stay in bed all day lying there doing nothing. We'd had a couple of really hard couple of days and I didn't want to get up and do anything today. But we knew that it wasn't possible. We were still responsible for an entire pack that hasn't had a real leader around here for a couple of days. Connor had complete confidence in his pack and he knew that they would be alright the whole time that we were gone. But they still needed a leader. Especially after everything that my father had been throwing at us lately and that he had a black witch on his side. Witch's were mostly good, but if you knew where to look then you could find the ones that had turned to the dark side. And that's exactly what my father had done. When we did finally get up Connor made coffee and I went to sit on the front veranda and I saw people walking around everywhere. They would bow their heads as they passed me and it made me a little uncomfortable when they did that. I didn't want them to do that

I slowly turned around and I was face to face with the black witch. She was looking at me with a menacing smile on her face and I was trying not to shake in front of her. Because I was scared to death right now. I was alone and Connor thought I was safe while he was trying to protect his pack. He didn't know that there was anyone out here with me. I didn't even know what to say to this woman. I knew how powerful she was and I knew that I didn't stand a chance against her. There's no way that I could stand a chance against her. She had years to develop her powers and I hadn't done anything with mine except protect Connor that one time at the cave. I was able to put up a protective shield and I knew that it wasn't going to be enough to fight this witch. She raised her hand slightly, the same look on her face, and I felt my throat constricting and I was being strangled by this invisible force and I was being raised off the ground. Connor and I were lying in bed. I could feel his hands caressing me everywhere and he was being really gentle but I could feel him getting really excited as well. And I got really nervous and scared and I stopped him from going any further. I sat up quickly, not able to look at him, and I apologized over and over again. I wasn't ready for anything to go any further with us. But he sat up behind me and he rested his chin on my shoulder from behind me and told me to stop apologizing. He tells me that I have nothing to be sorry for. He shouldn't have assumed that I was ready. He's not going to assume and he's going to let me take the lead on it whenever I want it to happen. And I just nodded my head. We stayed in that motel for the rest of the night but the following morning we checked out and we went to a diner in town to get some breakfast. We sat at a booth against the front window and Connor had to go to the bathroom and I sat there looking at the menu when I noticed two guys,

I was standing behind Connor and my eyes practically popped out of my head when I saw the werebear running towards us. Connor pushed me back and took a few steps closer to the bear so that he could shift, and when he did, he was only about half the size of the bear. But he was going to fight it with everything that he had. I was terrified for Connor. I thought this thing was going to kill him. And I wasn't sure how he was going to get out of it. But Connor charged at the bear and the bear let out a loud roar expecting the attack. Like he was looking forward to it. Like he was wanting it. He kept charging at Connor and they clashed in a thunderous bang, and they were both clawing at each other, trying to bite each other. The bear managed to strike Connor across his flank with its huge claws and Connor fell to the ground whimpering in pain.
