Kael’s POV

I kept walking until I was out of sight and immediately I punched my fist into the wall. Maybe a bit too much because the wall cracked and a part went down.

Some maids by the corner gasped in shock seeing me. One of them waved at me seductively. Well, at least not everyone hates me like Raven. Even if she was the main character.

But seriously, I know I screwed up but who gave her the right to move on? And she moved on by fucking Damien.

Oh, princess I haven't forgotten my promise, if Damien so much touch your hair so much I would cut off his dick. No man has any right to touch you other than me.

You are my fucking mate.

How could she think of marrying him? Damien wasn't half as good looking as I was, he probably sucked in bed and I am the one who truly loves her.

I scoffed, shaking my head in disbelief as I walked away.

It wasn't entirely her fault though, I left her to put my life on the front line, without telling her because I feared she would hate me if she found

  • She's the Alpha    Betrayal in the blood.

Kai's POVZeke and I trudged back toward the camp, side by side in silence. Zeke and I had followed the deserters, trying to force answers out of their mouths but they were as useless as Zeke's dick. So I killed them. “Hell of a night,” he muttered.“Depends on who you are speaking for.”He chuckled once, then winced. “I thought we were gone for a second back there. That flank almost swallowed us whole.”“The flank almost swallowed “you” whole,” I corrected. Zeke was dumb but I didn't think he was this dumb. Why did he keep using the wrong pronoun? But all in all Zeke was intelligent when it comes to strategy and he was a good fighter. That's the only reason I still let him walk with me. “No one asked you to come,” I continued, pulling off my shirt. “You could have stayed back.”“And miss out on all the fun? No, thank you.”We went silent for a while and that was mostly because I did. He looked over at me, half a grin on his face. “That last-minute switch-up... It was genius. The

  • She's the Alpha    Fractures of trust.

RAVEN’S POVBy the time I made it back to my tent, I was done. My legs were heavy, my shoulder was still numb from the bite, and I could barely keep my eyes open.Every part of my body was protesting against the abuse. I just wanted to wash the blood off my skin, take off my torn clothes, and forget everything for one night.I bent slightly, reaching for the hem of my shirt, when the tent flap whipped open and Damien walked in. Not the person I wanted to see right now but I was going to see him later. Damien looked like hell, he was literally covered in blood and a few but deep bite marks.I frowned, locking eyes with him. He looked like he was seconds away from exploding and I wasn't in the mood for that. “Can I help you?” I frowned. “What the hell was that?” he finally asked.I blinked, confused. “What?”“That war,” he said. “What the hell was that?”“You should really be more specific,’’ I said, feigning ignorance. “I'm kinda busy.”“Why did you change the war plans all of a su

  • She's the Alpha    The first phase.

RAVEN’S POV. The day of the war finally came and everything was like we expected. The Lycans took the bait. The traitor was still at work but this time he was playing our own game and by our rules. The Gamma returned to the camp with good news. The Lycans had arrived and were camping at a place far from us waiting to attack in the night. They were really sneaky, i would give them that but unfortunately I was more sneakier. I had sent two spies ahead, even the gamma didn't know about this and the rwo spies didn't know about each other. That was how serious I wanted to keep my plans secret. But just when we were about to take preparing, one of my spies brought back news that the Lycans were coming. Another question answered. The traitor was someone fast. Fast enough to inform the Lycans about the change of plans at the last minute. I stood at the edge of camp, my heart thudding in my chest. My bones were sore from yesterday’s fight practice, my body exhausted from barely sleeping.

  • She's the Alpha    The last peace.

RAVEN’S POVThe camp was quiet— too quiet that only the sound of the singing crickets could be heard. I tried not to think too much but I couldn't help but see myself and my sentinels butchered into a thousand pieces. An idle hand is really the devil's workshop. And I didn't like the idea of being used by anyone most especially the devil, so I got up and decided to go for a walk and by walk, I meant Kai. I kept telling myself that I was just meeting him because I wanted to keep a close eye on him myself but that was already becoming an obvious lie. Kai had become my solace and my peace of mind. Seeing him when my mind was in a wreck was a blessing, I couldn't let go of —- a hot, pure but lustful sex was just a bonus. I walked fast, trying not to think too much about what I was about to do. I felt a sharp pain in my chest, I wasn't sure if the guilt was eating me up or the cold had finally come to take its prize. But it's a good idea I'm going to see Kai, he knows how to cure everyt

  • She's the Alpha    The moon goddess temple.

RAVEN’S POV I turned left and right, rolled on my bed till i fell down twice. I couldn't sleep. I tried different techniques but nothing worked. I stared at the ceiling but it was like it was mocking me. I tried to count the stars but the stars were messing with my head. And Leslie, she was as quiet as a graveyard. After trying everything I could think of to help me fall asleep, I got up, slipped on a cloak and left the room and out of my chambers into the main palace hallway. I walked through the camp in silence, nodding at a few guards who gave me quiet glances but didn’t stop me. My feet moved on their own and I didn't stop them. At least some parts of my body are taking me out of the boredom. I paused at a window, staring down at the yard. I couldn't help but laugh as memories of my childhood flooded into my mind. I still remember Fein chasing me around the statue at the center of the field. “I miss you,” I breathe, staring at the stars. If Fein was here, he would have

  • She's the Alpha    Curse or blessing?

KAI'S POV. I sat alone in the dim tent, the lantern casting soft shadows on the canvas walls. My eyes locked on the dark dark symbols etched into my arms. I couldn’t stop staring. It was almost scary. My mind drifted back—clear as day—to that night with the seer. That crazy old woman with silver-threaded eyes and no patience for my arrogance. “The mark will come when the time nears,” she said. “When it appears, you will no longer control your own fate. The storm will eat your crown. Your blood will start the fire.” I remember how hard I laughed at her face and when she kept coming back to warn me, I threatened to execute her. Now look who's scared like a child? Fuck, I should have listened or followed it off. I was just too young to die. I knew about the symbols as a child, it showed once and disappeared again. My father was thrilled that the legendary god warrior came from his bloodline. And since it was the first time it has happened in the history of the Lycans, my fathe
