Raven’s POV

We sat around the big table in the war room, going through different books as some lower sentinels moved around, running errands, even the walls knew something bad was coming.

I sat next to Damien, and across from me were Fein and a few of the others—generals, guards, people we trusted or at least, we hoped we could.

We still haven't found out the person that is acting as the Lycan Lord's puppet, that's why I called in a few, if anything goes wrong I would know who to suspect.

We spread out maps on the table, carefully going through the maps in front of us, the maps showed the land layout, the kingdom's layout and the routes leading in and out.

There were red marks, black lines, little symbols everywhere. It looked like chaos on paper and it was except that it was also chaos in real life.

A sentinel rushed in, bowed to me before walking over to Fein, he whispered something in Fein's ear.

I ran straight toward him, but before I could even reach him, he lifted his hand and flicked his wrist.The air cracked like thunder.I flew backward, slamming into the cave wall.     Raven’s POV. “Get away from my son!” I shouted.My voice echoed through the cave. The black witch lifted her head slowly, her mouth curling into a cruel smile. Before I could move closer, three men walked closer. They were tall, built like beasts, their eyes glowing faintly red.One of them grinned. “I don't think you read the sign. This place is off limits.”“I’ll tear through anyone who tries to stop me,” I hissed, flexing my claws. They laughed, spreading out around me.     Author’s POVThe cave was lit by a sickly red glow. Candles made of black wax flickered around the edges, their flames bending unnaturally. A thick fog rolled along the ground, swirling around Damien’s boots as he paced impatiently.In the middle of the cave stood a rough stone, an ancient altar covered in old dried blood. The black witch moved slowly around it drawing strange symbols on the stone with a dagger made from animal bone. Damien’s jaw clenched. He looked toward the small figure lying unconscious nearby — Xavier. The boy’s small chest rose and fell weakly. His wrists were bound with silver-thread ropes.“Are you done yet?” Damien asked. “The auspicious time is almost over!”The witch didn’t look up. “Do not rush me, Lord Damien.     Kai's pov.I finally got to the cave Damien asked me to meet him, something told me it was a trap but I didn't care at all. All that mattered was that I get my son out of this place immediately.
