Sasha's P.O.V.
"Can you give us a minute?" Tatum asks. Dr. Dobbs and Karla walk out. Tatum turns to me and gently strokes my head.
"I know you don't know me or anything about me, but I can take care of you. I live alone in a two-bedroom apartment, and you're welcome to stay in the guest room. I promise I won't hurt you." He's speaking so softly while holding my hand and stroking my head. Should I go with him? I don't really have any other options if I want to leave the hospital. I know it's ridiculous, but I feel in my gut that he won't hurt me.
"I'll go with you." His face breaks out into that gorgeous smile again. I could get used to that. He kisses my forehead and sends a jolt to my system. Where has he been all my life?
"Great." Tatum pushes the call light, and Dr. Dobbs and Karla return.
"I'll take her home with me." He says. They didn't look surprised, but I guess they expected this after he told them I was his girlfriend.
"Okay, good. The police want to talk to you. Do you want me to have them come here or meet you when you get home?" Dr. Dobbs asks. I look at Tatum, and I swear he knows exactly what I'm thinking.
"We'll talk to them when we get home." That simple statement warms my whole body. I need to talk, but my mouth is dry.
"Water." I croak out. Karla lifts the head of my bed and holds a cup of cool water to my lips. Why does hospital water have to taste so bad? At least it wets my mouth and throat.
"How soon can we leave?" I ask the doctor.
"I'll print your discharge paperwork now. You can go ahead and get dressed. Your clothes were ripped, and the police took them, so we'll give you a set of scrubs to wear home." He leaves, and Karla pulls out some scrubs.
"I'll step outside." Tatum stands up to leave so I can get dressed, but I refuse to let go of his hand. I didn't realize he was that tall.
"Please stay and help me. I don't want you to leave." I don't know why I'm so scared to be away from him, but I am. It feels like I'll break if he's not near me. How can a complete stranger make me feel that dependent on them already? He leans down and kisses my forehead again, instantly calming me.
"Okay, I'll help if you're sure." Karla walks over with a big smile.
"You two are such a sweet couple." She says as she and Tatum help me sit up. He puts his hand on my back while the world spins around me. Once I'm steady, he steps to the side but keeps his hand on my shoulder.
Tatum unties the gown and helps me remove my arms. I hold it in place to keep myself covered while he puts the top over my head. He then helps me get my arms through the holes, taking care not to hurt my sprained wrist. Once my top is pulled down, I pull the gown out. Tatum squats in front of me to put the non-slip socks on my feet before helping me with the pants. He pulls them up as far as he can with me sitting. He and Karla help me stand, holding me until I stop spinning. He then carefully pulls them all the way up and removes my gown.
"I'm going to get a wheelchair." Karla walks out and leaves us alone. Tatum helps me sit on the side of the bed, and rather than taking the chair, he sits next to me, letting me lean on him.
"How do you feel?" He asks while putting his arm around me. I close my eyes and soak in all the warmth and comfort he's giving me.
"It's hard to explain. When I'm touching you, I barely feel the pain. When we're not touching, I feel like I've been hit by a truck. I know you're only doing this to be nice, and I appreciate it, but you make me feel safe. That's something I haven't had in a long time." I'm being honest with him because I don't want him to think I would just go home with anyone.
"I'll keep you safe and do whatever you need to help with the pain. You're not alone." Those three words are something I've been wanting to hear for years. Karla walks in with the wheelchair, and rather than have me stand, Tatum lifts me in his arms and sets me in the chair. Can he hold me like that forever?
"Here's your paperwork. Dr. Dobbs ordered you some pain medication. It's in the bag. Please make sure she stays awake for at least a few hours to ensure she doesn't get sick. It would be best for you to monitor her when she sleeps for the first time in case she has any trouble. Do you have any questions?" Karla hands me some papers and a small bag.
"No. Thank you." I reply. Tatum takes the wheelchair from Karla and begins pushing me.
"I don't have a car, but I ordered one to pick us up." He pushes me out the door, and I see several cars. When he walks up to the fancy Bentley, I look up at him in surprise.
"You ordered a Bentley to take us? I would have been fine in a cab." I say. Tatum locks the wheels and smiles.
"Nothing but comfort for you from here on out." The driver gets out to open the door, but Tatum shakes his head. He then leans over, picks me up out of the wheelchair, and puts me in the back of the car. I notice the people standing around watching us. Is it wrong that I get pleasure from seeing the jealousy on some of the women's faces? He's not mine, but they don't know that. He then slides in next to me. Well, folks, I don't know where I'm going, but as long as Tatum is there, I don't care. This could be the best or worst decision I have ever made. I guess time will tell.
Lindy's P.O.V.I swear, if this misfit doesn't show up soon, I'll leave without him. We don't have any time to waste if we're going to save the men inside the house. A few minutes later, just as I'm getting ready to leave, I hear a bike approaching. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. What's that scent? When I open my eyes, I see a muscular man wearing blue jeans, black boots, and a black leather jacket over a black t-shirt. He pulls off his helmet, and I grip my handlebars as my heart races. He has wavy black hair and steel-gray eyes. I can see a tattoo coming from inside his shirt and up his neck. "Hello there, little bunny." Fuck me. No, that's not what I mean. Well, maybe I do. That voice feels like it touched me between my legs. Have you ever heard the term fuck like bunnies? Well, shit, this virgin bunny suddenly wants to give it a try. His eyes suddenly widen in shock, and he gets off his bike. I swallow past the dryness in my throat while getting off my bike as he app
Doug's P.O.V.I look at the pieces of shit around me that didn't do what they were supposed to. I had told them to kill the Rogue Misfits, not injure a few, and then leave. "Did you kill any of them?" I yell at the incompetent wolves while running my hands through my light brown hair in frustration."We didn't have time before the rest of the gang came back. If we hadn't gotten out of there, then we would have all been dead," one of them says, looking away. "You're supposed to be warriors, not scared pups. I told you they all needed to be killed before the Biker Bunnies joined them. Now, from what I hear, the Bunnies left with them. So that means my mate Sydney is with those men. I have to get her back for what she did to me." I put my hand on my throat. After that bitch slit my throat, I thought I was going to die. If it wasn't for the witch, I would be dead. I bought Sydney to be my mate. I figured if I took her when she was young, she'd be an obedient little bunny. That backfir
Anya's P.O.V.Jordan holds my hand tightly as we go into the bar. I lead him over to the other bunnies, who are staring at me in shock. "Ladies, I have met my mate. This is Jordan. He's a bear from the gang, the Rogue Misfit." I look at the man with Jordan. We hadn't been introduced yet. He's frozen, staring at one of the bunnies. When I look to see who he's looking at, I smile. It's Sydney, my second."Mate," they both say. Well, it looks like I'm not the only bunny mated to a misfit. This could prove rather interesting. "What's your name?" Sydney looks him up and down with her arms crossed. "I'm Dallas, and I'm a wolf," he says, taking a step toward her."I'm sorry, but we don't have time for this whole get-to-know-you bit; we have to ride, ladies. Someone attacked their gang using something that can prevent shifters from healing. Let's see if we can figure out what it is." The bunnies jump up and put on their jackets. Sydney has a lot of attitude, and I would love to see how
Anya's P.O.V."Are we ready to ride, ladies?" I ask the gang as we all start up our engines. We're an all-female biker gang of bunnies. Yes, I said bunnies, and I'm not talking about Playboy bunnies or Easter bunnies. We're bunny shifters, and we're all in our twenties. Our gang has dwindled in numbers because some of the women have found their mates, but there are still about twenty of us.We ride down the street on our Harleys dressed all in black leather. Our gang jackets are black with a pink bunny and the words Biker Bunnies on the back. Another thing we all have in common is that two of us are doctors, and the rest are nurses. We care for both shifters and humans. I'm twenty-five and one of the oldest of our gang. When the last leader found her mate, everyone asked me to take her place. I haven't found my mate yet, and I'm beginning to wonder if I ever will. Just like most female bunny shifters, I'm petite, with a nice butt and decent breasts. I'm proud of my curves and show
Lilly's P.O.V.I can't believe Dominick is my mate. I heard him tell Justin that he's a prince. How can I be the mate of a prince? I know Misty told me to stop thinking of myself as an omega, but that's all I've ever been known as. I don't even know where I came from. "Lilly is a beautiful name. Are you from Platinum Moon?" Dominick asks. I don't know what to say. Misty walks over and puts her arm around me."She is now. Lilly was at Golden Moon but has decided to join us here. I'm Misty. Vaughn and Ivan are my mates." Misty holds her hand out to Dominick, and once again, I admire her. She's only a few months older than me, but she's strong and self-assured. I'm neither of those things. Dominick is holding my hand and seems happy, but I wonder if that will change when he realizes I'm not pure. "It's nice to meet you, Misty. Mom and Dad told me a little about what happened. I'm glad you got my mate out of there. Lilly, would you mind if we talked a little before dinner?" I want to
Misty's P.O.V. After talking with Adam and Sal, it was decided that Sal would become the next alpha of the Golden Moon, and Adam would return to the palace with us. He said he wanted no reminders of Steven and Marie. He also thought Justin would be devastated if they left. I'm sitting in the middle row of the SUV with Lilly while Vaughn sits in the front passenger seat, and Ivan sits behind us as we drive to Platinum Moon. They weren't happy with not sandwiching me between them like usual, but I knew Lilly needed me. She's nineteen, but so beaten down that the poor girl has no self-confidence. I will make sure to change that. The further we get away from Golden Moon, the more relaxed she becomes. By the time we're pulling up to our house, she's almost smiling. "Do you have a shed or something in the back for me to stay in? I can also sleep on the ground under the trees." I look at her with my mouth open."Is that where Steven had you sleeping at Golden Moon?" I ask her as we get ou
