Chapter 10

Ethan’s POV

I was having a drink out on the patio with the Maria when the peace of the night was disturbed by raised voices.

I recognized one of the voices immediately as Alexander’s, I turned to look at Maria at once and she was looking at me with a look of alarm in her eyes.

Without wasting time, I bolted out of my chair and rushed toward the direction of the noise, it was coming from the direction of the main entrance of the mansion, I felt Maria following behind me.

On reaching the gate, I was greeted by a rather unexpected scene, my brother stood over a man who looked like he had been thrown around a bit and Alexander was staring at me with malice and contempt in his eyes.

He tried stepping forward but my guards snarled at him and he stopped, a sadistic smile on his face.

“We can do this my way, which is calmly letting me pass or we do this the wrong way and I rip out the throats of these simpletons here” he said and shoved the man who had been kneeling before him to the floor w
