CHAPTER THIRTY SIX

MELISSA 

"You are done? " I straightened to a sitting position as I asked,  wincing sharply at the soreness on my back and area. 

I met the satisfied look of his gaze just before he turned around and walked out of my line of view, probably to returning the equipment. 

I caught sight of a mirror hung on the wall and approached it in hurried steps. 

I strained my neck to look behind to see what he had done, but it was wrapped in white gauze.

I couldn't suppress the eagerness to see what he had done.  I mean,  If he looked this satisfied,  then the work had to be magnificent, right? 

I reached to start peeling off the gauze.

"You can't take it off,  not right now" I jolted slightly at the sound of his voice, I hadn't heard him approach.
