I hadn't expected him to accept the news so easily, a huge part of me had expected him to freak out exactly the way I did when I first found out.

I was struck with a surge of relief, that was until he mentioned staying together as a family.

He made it sound so easy, so tempting.

Only I couldn't allow myself to give in to it.

I had never experienced what it meant to be a real family, I hadn't Still, I understood very well that it would never be real unless there was love.

And that was something that I would never be able to get from him, or so I had thought until he had said those words.

The emotions that swept through me then were raw, mere words couldn't describe the disbelief mixed with shock and also something else. An explosion of happiness so powerful that shook me with the urge to burst out in tears.

His lips silenced the little trace of doubts I had, devouring mine hungri
