“Are you fucking stupid! Stay away from me, I cannot love you,” he snarled out his frustration as he pushed me away from him. The action hurt more than his words as I looked at the distance he had now created between us. Glaring at the back of his head I wondered if I should just tell him about my visions, about how much he would love me, but what if he thought I was crazy? “Is it that you cannot love me or will not love me?” I asked my frustration matching his. Why is nothing going the way it should? His shoulders tensed but he didn’t turn to look back at me as he said in a cold and uncaring voice, “Believe whatever you want to.” This push and pull game that he was playing with me was too much and holding back my tears I said, “You will regret this and when you do I will not make it easy for you.” My visions never lied to me. *** Silia Morgan can see glimpses of the future. They are usually insignificant but she is always excited to see them come true. So imagine how she must feel when for the first time ever, she saw in her vision about a stranger kissing her. After that peek into the future she cannot wait for it to come true that is until she finds out that the mystery man is none other than the Mafia Don Draven Calix. To have a future with one of the most cold-hearted criminals wasn’t what she wanted but her visions say the opposite. Can a love between an ordinary girl and a scary Mafia King be possible? Her visions say it can but the reality doesn’t seem to agree with it.
View More“You need a man in your life!” My best friend said as she sat down in front of me.
“No, I don’t, I have you,” I said laughing at the frown that pulled her lips down.
“That is the problem! You shouldn’t be just fine with me,” she exasperated taking a sip of the wine that I had ordered before she had arrived, “You need to get laid.”
Her last statement was a serious one and realizing that the conversation was heading into a direction that I didn’t really like I looked away and took a sip of my own wine.
“It’s just as I saw in my vision,” I murmured trying to bring her attention back at the main topic at hand.
“I knew that was the reason you insisted we come to this fancy hotel even though you don’t like them as much. I am sure you wouldn’t even like the food here,” Lisa muttered shaking her head at me with an annoyed expression gracing her face. It made me feel bad for a small second but it was hard to control myself. What happens to me isn’t normal.
How can I possibly not be intrigued by it?
Her angry words brought my attention back to her, “How many times do I have to tell you Silia, you don’t have to follow each one of your visions, you might fall into trouble someday.”
Her anger was more a result of the worry that she felt for me and that fact always made me smile. I didn’t have anybody else but her in this world.
“Oh come on don’t give me that innocent smile,” she said, “You always do that ever since the first day we met in college and you sat next to me.”
Taking a bite of the slightly pricier than normal chicken salad I couldn’t help but grimace at the taste in disappointment. She had been right the old diner around the corner of our apartment had better tasting food than this.
Nonetheless a smile curled onto my lips again and answering her I said, “But you know it makes me happy to see them come true every time. Even though my visions are slightly altered, the fact that I might be able to see future even for a little bit makes me feel kind of special in its own way.”
This had been my secret that no one else but she knew about. I am sure anyone else would have called me stupid or a liar if I were to tell them about possessing such an ability but this brown eyed beauty accepted me just the way I am.
“It is that face that you make that I can’t deny and just follow you along in these ridiculous plans of yours. I mean give me a break, why can’t you just cry to me about normal boy stuff instead of chasing after visions from the fucking future?” she sighed and though she used harsh words her expression had been soft making me grin back at her like an idiot.
“You don’t need to worry about me; my clairvoyance is really lame as compared to the other people on the internet. I can only predict some place or thing that I am going to go to or I am about to try and I think most of them only come true because I drag you to those places with me after I see them in my visions,” I chuckled making her laugh along, “But I believe that this ability is still a gift and I want to see where this takes me.”
She looked like she was about to say something when suddenly her phone rang and looking at the caller ID once she narrowed her brows and then sighing she pushed her chair away and got up from the table, “I am so sorry but it is a work call, I need to take this. I will be back late so take a taxi home today and keep the doors locked properly. I will quietly let myself in later so go to sleep.”
Her words held finality in her voice as her expression told me to follow the instructions that she had laid out without any questions and nodding at her I said, “It will be lonely without you so come back soon.”
That line made her smile her first real smile and grabbing her purse she left me with a final wave.
Realizing that now that she was gone I had nothing better to do I paid for the meal and decided to leave to catch an early night’s sleep.
Walking to the elevator I noticed a man enter it and the doors begin to close. Running to reach it in time I shout at the person inside to keep it open for me but nothing happens and extending out a hand I managed to step into it, barely making it in time as the door closed behind me again.
Rude.
I couldn’t help but think that when I noticed that the entire lift had been empty save for one man standing in the corner. Couldn’t he have pressed the button and opened up the lift for me when it wasn’t even jam packed?
Wanting to look at the face of the rude jerk that had ignored me I discreetly glanced to the side and felt disappointment and awe struck me.
It was embarrassing to say this but why did god always give the attractive guys the worst personalities?
His sleek jaw was the first thing my eyes fell on followed by the grey eyes that were sternly set and glaring at the doors of the lift as if scolding it for failing to close on time and keeping me out of it. Even the color of his platinum blonde hair, almost white seemed to match the cold personality of his as it sat on top of his head with not a single fly away out of its formation.
For a quick second it seemed like his eyes flitted to the side and met my blue ones.
The suddenness of the gaze made a sensation run through me and suddenly he was kissing me. Those pink lips were hot against my own as it sped and nipped at my sensitive skin that he took against my permission. A hand came to cage me against the wall of the elevator, making me gasp at the cold metal bar that dug into my waist and gave him the chance to glide his tongue into my mouth.
What was happening?
*SILIA*I think I needed to run away.“Silia? What are you doing here? Are you alright? Everyone was looking for you. It's time!” Diana said hastily coming to me when she found me in the washroom of my suite. Her words only made me panic more and shaking my head I said, “No, Diana I don’t think I can do this. I don’t think I can go out there like this.”My words must have not sat well with her because she donned a softer expression and with a hand patting my back gently for me she pulled me into a hug.“Come on, tell me what is it? What is troubling you and I swear that I will make it alright,” she said and although her hug made me feel good it also reminded me of why I wanted to run away from my own wedding.“This! See this is the problem! I can’t even hug you properly without this belly getting in my way,” I said pointing at the small bump that kept us apart from hugging properly. She seemed to realize what I had been going through and smiling at me she asked, “What are you afraid o
*SILIA*“I don’t think that Romani would actually set this grand of an event,” Diana muttered from beside me. It has been a week since we came back home and the cold mafia woman who we thought was injured was stronger than anyone we knew and had been completely fine even after that blast. Apparently she became unconscious because of exhaustion and nothing else.“According to him he is creating history and he wants the whole world to remember him and this day properly for centuries to come,” I murmured, spotting him introducing Draven to everyone around while laughing heartily. No one would say that he was sick seeing how well and about he was moving around.“He certainly chose a very strange reason to be remembered in history, ‘The man who gave away his business empire to a Mafia Don’,” Alfeo laughed, chiming in on our conversation.“Do you even know how terrified the public and media is over this? I heard the president is on his toes with this change,” Nick said, sipping a glass of c
*SILIA*“Yes! Fuck we did it!” Alfeo shouted enveloping Draven in a hug which I joined along with the others. We were probably making a lot of ruckus pulling, pushing and rejoicing, unable to believe what had happened. We won!We actually won!A clearing of a throat grabbed our attention as Samantha said, “Mr. Romani is waiting for you.”Calming down at her words Draven pulled away from us, smiling at the hoots and laughter. Looking at me he kissed me once and said, “Thank you, this wouldn’t have been possible without you.”I simply smiled at him and then turned back to the rest as he said, “Make sure that all the injured get treated and rested well. We are flying back today itself and celebrating this victory!”“Alright we’ll arrange everything you just go and meet him,” Gavin said and nodding along as I turned to leave with the others when suddenly I was stopped.“Miss Morgan, Mr. Romani wants to meet you too,” Samantha said, making everyone stop in their movements as they all looke
*SILIA*I couldn’t grasp the sense of reality. I had killed the one person that had previously meant the world to me. I had thought that I hated her a lot but even now when she had said that she hated me I couldn’t help but feel hurt. I didn’t want her to hate me. I had wanted things to have never gone the way that they had.I never wanted to lose her.“Shh, it’s alright you did what you had to,” Draven said and slowly walked towards me. I could see the pity in his eyes and I am sure I looked like a mess but his eyes didn’t stray to anywhere else but my eyes. His gray ones pierced straight into mine, reminding me of the peaceful shine of a breezy moonlit night.Reaching me he first gripped my hand over the fork and prying away my hand carefully from the weapon of murder he took hold of my violently shaking hands that couldn’t control the tension now that they weren’t holding onto the wood for dear life. Throwing away the fork to a safe distance away he immediately pulled me into a hu
*SILIA*“You might have reached till here but I cannot let you go any further than this,” Lisa said, it felt as if it had been days since I had seen her and I wouldn’t have minded it being a little longer or until I died for me to face her again.I still can’t believe she had left me alone there with Luca to suffer, it was worse than simply killing me. She wanted me to ‘suffer’, to prolong my misery.“You really think you can stop us?” I asked, challenging her, feeling my insides burn with hatred. She ignored me and looking at Draven she said, “If you still care about your people’s life then you would back away while I am giving you the chance to. You will lose the game but will return back alive.”Wasn’t she being a little too cocky? If Nick had been enough to take her down alone then the twelve people we had brought with us were definitely a lot stronger.“And lose the opportunity to kill the person who has been the sole reason for all our sufferings? No, thank you,” Draven said wit
*SILIA*“Hey! Hey who are you people! Get off my farm!”A man came shouting at us like a lunatic when we stopped our cars in front of his house.Getting out of the car Alfeo approached the man and introducing himself he said, “We just need a little assistance from you. We need to check something in your barn. Can we please do that?”“No absolutely not!” The old and hot headed man shouted at us, “You think I'll just let you jackasses get into my property just like that. Absolutely not mister.”“We will be happy to pay you a good amount of money for that. If you would just let us in then this briefcase full of money will be yours,” He said, showing him a briefcase that had been brimming full with money. By the way this farm and house looked, he really needed that for repair works and maybe to even live life in general. He stopped and hesitated for a minute when suddenly the door to his house opened and through it came an old lady, probably his wife.“Al? Who are these people?” she aske
