RESTORATION OF THE DEEPEST CONNECTION

[June 28, 1212; Great Fall Era – Present | Sorrow Field - Eben, Meccichuzan (22:14)]

One rainy night, there were two men who crawl on an open grass field. The thunders are roaring, skies are dark filled with gray clouds, and it seems like the world is in the middle of catastrophe.

 “Alright now, stay low and make the quietest noise that you can make in your movements.” The man who leads the way whispered.

“Understood, I will do my best to keep undetected.” The follower replied.

“Good. Let’s continue. I can now see the sewers.”

The two men started to crawl slowly and quietly towards the sewers gate. Suddenly, someone stepped on the follower’s legs, when it felt that it was a man, it suddenly screamed a loud enigmatic words.

“Stand up! We are going to run now. Let’s go!”

The two men started to run towards the sewers, and while the other one started to chase them. Looking left and right, they heard a lot of footsteps that seems to be running towards their direction.

“Open the gates!” The man who leads screamed as they kept on running.

The gates filled with rust slowly opened, the two men ran as quickly as they can. It was the right timing, for the gate has opened enough for the men to fit and get through, all they need to do is reach the sewers to be with their fellows.

“Alright, we are almost there. Let’s pick up the pace!”

“Yes Captain!”

The two men reached the gate, and then there are people who stopped the man who chases the two by bombing strong waters from their water tank as they close the gate.

“We made it. Good job Jin!” praised by the exhausted and huffing Captain.

“Thank you Captain Logan. With this tools that we got, we can upgrade our small economy here in the sewers. I am glad to help!” Jin replied, handing over the bag full of tools to Captain Logan.

“I am going to rest now on my room. I’ll see you tomorrow Sir, please rest well.” Jin added.

“You too, thanks for today! I’ll see you later Jin!” Captain Logan started to walk towards his personal headquarters, while Jin went to his small room.

[Water runs from the sewage, lamps hanging on the every corner provide light, and their food depends only to the people who put their lives on the line by going out to the wilderness and hunting animals. This is how every people in the sewers survive, some people tend to live and to die in the same era, not knowing what the outside world is without trouble, where there is peace and freedom.]

“Hey Jin!” a young lad shouted.

Jin looked and smiled.

“Hey Gasly! Why are you still outside your home?” Jin kneeled down and pats his head.

[Gasly is a 5 year-old boy who is cheerful and close to Jin. Sometimes, because of his immaturity, he is really stubborn and plays dangerous things. Gasly once tried to swim in the wastewater of the sewers, but his father was there and stopped him before Gasly jumps. Jin treats Gasly as his younger brother, for their age gap is 17 years.]

“I was waiting for you! I got some candies; I want to share it with you. Let’s eat it together; I know you’re hungry, right?” Then Gasly shows a handful of candies.

Jin smiled and took 3 candies from him.

“Let’s eat..” Jin smiled, opened the candy and ate it.

“My friend Aster gave it to me when she came back earlier today. Isn’t it delicious?” Gasly replied, while chewing his candy.

“Yes it is.”

After a few minutes of laughter and bonding..

“I will go back now, maybe my Mom is waiting for me, and I just sneaked out quietly”

“Hey, don’t do this again; your Mom will be mad if you made her worry.”

“Haha! I am the sneakiest kid in the sewers; no one can beat me in doing this kind of thing.”

“Go now, before she finds out.” Jin chuckles.

“Okay, see you later Jin!”

“Later, Gasly!”

[Gasly started to run towards their window and climbed up to it, as sneaky as he can. Jin headed towards his room, close to the corner of the Sewers. He opened his room, and as the lamp was lit, the portrait of him and his deceased Mother shone above his wooden cabinet, cobwebs on every corner of his room, rusty sword on his wall, ocarina, left over bread, a small notebook, quill, full-bottled ink and a small blade. He walked through the room, sat on his couch and looked at the ceiling, witnessing a firefly getting trapped at the Spider’s web]

“Why did you let me live when all I would feel in this world is fear and suffering?” He looked at his Mother’s portrait above the cabinet.

[September 19, 1202; Common Era – Past | Country-side - Quarsi, Meccichuzan (07:41)]

            A beautiful lady with her eyes painted in blue, wearing a white dress, black skirt and white derby hat, walked across the country-side of Quarsi. Her face always looks delighted, and people who doesn’t know her believes that she is still a youth.

“Greetings lady, your beauty glimmers that shines in your eyes, and your lovely presence is taking me so close to you. I apologize for my impulsive approach, but would you mind accepting my proposal to be your husband?” an anonymous man in formal attire asked.

“I’m sorry, I have a child and a husband.” The lady replied with a smile as she continues her walk.

People in the country-side started to mumble about the rejection of the proposal, the man who asked the lady was the son of a rich businessman who gives continuous provision to the town of Quarsi for their crops, materials, tools and machineries.

[September 19, 1202; Common Era – Past | Felipe Residence – Quarsi Town, Meccichuzan (10:57)]

“What!?”

“My son was rejected by a woman in the country-side?”

“They don’t have any respects for their supreme provider who made their lives sustainable? That’s unforgivable!”

[Thomasito Felipe II or sometimes referred as “Thomas”, a famous Landlord in the country of Meccichuzan, known for his incredible knowledge in business trading, politics and large provisions to its subordinating towns. His son, who was rejected by the lady was Thomasito Felipe III (nickname: Tom), the next ruler who will be placed in position when his father retires.]

Thomas stood up in his chair while having a tobacco on his right hand, walked towards the large transparent wall-sized window, smoking and looking to the direction of the country-side.

“Tom, I want you to tell me, what happened exactly on your proposal to this woman?” Thomas asked.

Thomas stood up, walked towards his father.

“I told her that she’s so beautiful, her presence made me do an impulsive proposal towards her.” Tom replied.

“Does she know that you are my Son?”

“Yes Father. She told me that she wasn’t interested to become my wife, because I am ugly, and she told me that my Father and Mother must be punished that this was the result of my appearance.”

The lies of Tom towards his father made him furious. Thomas called the Dark Priests and commanded them to burn the country-side of the Quarsi.

“Everything is according to plan, and it is running too smooth.” – Tom

[September 19, 1202; Common Era – Past | Rudina Residence - Quarsi, Meccichuzan (08:02)]

            The lady walked towards her home, pets her dogs and cats, and walked towards the man under the Oak Tree. He is a very muscular man, short beard, wears farmer attire and a lot of callouses in his hand. Under the Oak Tree, he is resting with his eyes closed, a rake on his side and a bottle of cold water on the other side.

“Honey, I’m back.” The lady whispered.

The man slowly opened his eyes, and was surprised to see his wife on his side.

“Alexandra, you’re back. Sorry, I was just resting a bit, but I am almost finished in raking our field.” The man laughs while scrubbing his head.

“You seem to be tired Jun, why don’t we go back inside and eat first, you must be starving.” Alexandra smiled to Jun while showing the ingredients that she bought in the country-side Market, then she heard a small chuckle from above the tree, she didn’t looked at it for she already knows.

“Jin, come down here, it’s dangerous up there.”

[June 29, 1212; Great Fall Era – Present | Jin’s Room - Eben, Meccichuzan (05:49)]

A loud knock made Jin woke up from his deep sleep.

“Jin! Jin!”

“Uh.. Coming, just a second.”

Jin stood up, wore his worn-out grey jacket and opened the door. Martha, a 21-year old teenager, who holds an envelope and a lamp gave an early news to him.

“Good morning Jin! I am Martha from the Mechanical Enterprise Division, we are located on the lower section of the Sewers. I came here today to give you an amazing news, sorry if I am too early, I am just too excited to work out in a new assignment.”

“Oh, don’t worry, its fine with me. So, what is this ‘amazing’ news that you wanted to tell me?”

Martha handed the envelope to Jin and started to tell the news while Jin is opening the envelope.

“Captain Logan told me that you managed to get good metal scraps from the outside. The materials you gathered exceeded the number of our needs, that’s why Captain Logan told me that the extra metal scraps should be used to repair your Buster Sword.”

Jin opened the paper inside the envelope, and the header states: Project Revive: Jin’s Buster Sword Repair, a little description that gives the process and the estimated materials to be used in repairing the sword. Captain Logan and the Head Chief both signed their approval towards the project, and also agreed to pay all the workers who were assigned to repair his sword. Jin is in shock when he saw all of this, repairing his sword means a lot to him, it was given to him by a friend who was very dear to him.

“I can’t believe this is happening, I mean.. It’s too good to be true.” Jin said to Martha.

“Well, this is all possible because our leaders saw your dedication and effort in all your work, they told me that your sword is one of your best treasures, so both of them arranged and approved this project.”

Jin looked at his sword hanging on the wall, tearing up.

“Hey Jin! Good morning!” two men who also wears the same uniform as Martha greeted Jin.

“We are here to carry your sword to the repairing site.” Claude informs Jin.

“Want me to carry you to the altar Martha?” Clark looking at Martha romantically.

[Martha smacked Clark’s head]

“Want me to carry you to the Clinic, Brother?” Claude asked Clark in a humorous way.

“No thanks, I’m good.” Clark rubbing his head, pouting.

“I’m sorry for the informality that these two shows, I am truly sorry.” Martha apologizes while bowing his head.

“No, don’t worry about it.” Jin smiles and chuckles. He walked towards the wall, took the sword with his right hand, wrapped it in his cleanest cloth and gave it to Claude.

“Wow.. This sword has an amazing heavy weight on it.” Claude’s thought.

“You can come by anytime you want in our Divisions site to check the progress of the sword repair. We will see you then.” Martha said.

“Thank you so much, Martha, Claude and Clark. I’ll see you soon.” Jin waves at them.

While the three blacksmiths walk away, Jin noticed that Claude glowed a little.
