A GIFT FROM THE OTHER SIDE

Everyone was shocked at this moment, Aster tried to stop the muscular slender man by shooting random attacks to it.

“Bow change! Compact! Sharpness, 70%! Ailment Fuse, Confusion!” Aster shoots the arrow, but the armour deflected it.

“Bow change! Long bow! Arrows, Triple! Rapid shooting technique!” Aster shoots 3 arrows at a time with an incredible speed, the giant muscular man deflected some of it. Protected his head with his gauntlet, some of the arrows stabbed his legs, waist, elbows, but it doesn’t even hurt the man, it is even not dripping off blood.

“Bow change…” Aster was suddenly stopped by his father.

“Aster, you did great. Let me handle him.” Genesis said to Aster as he looks to the enemy with the fierce in his eyes, Aster was gazing up on him, nodded and smiled.

“Alright Father.” Aster replied with a proud smile on her face.

“Wagon is almost 15 meters away from the Sewers Gate! Stay strong and keep it tight!” Captain Rian’s update to all the defenders.

“Yes Ma’am!” all the troops replied.

“I am counting on you.” Captain Rian whispered to Genesis.

Genesis took a big jump from the vantage point which is above the gate, and landed on its front.

“Uh.. Never thought I would be facing an interesting being today.” Genesis sighed while stretching.

[The wagon is approaching 10 meters away from the Sewers Gate.]

“Man! I’m getting old for this kind of stuff. I thought they could handle the situation.” Genesis’s expression while scratching his neck.

“It’s been a while since I fought something I’ve never had any information from its whereabouts.”

“Appear, Power and Divine” the two swords of Genesis appeared from his both hands. Its blade was covered in black, and the handle was red, but the Power (name of the right blade) emits a light green aura, and Divine (name of the left blade) emits light purple aura.

“Sword fuse!” Genesis collided the two swords and it made a sword that has a longer and bigger blade, but not big as a Buster Sword. It is emitting grey aura from the blade and the single sword manifested all the power that the two swords have.

“Five meters! Almost there!” Updated by Captain Rian.

[Genesis started to run towards the muscular slender man, leaping towards it and intends to penetrate the enemy. However, when the enemy felt this, it stopped, raised his elbow and blocked the strike of the sword completely using its gauntlets. This block shocked Genesis, making him step on the muscular slender man’s arm, and flipping back to have a safe distance.]

“Something’s not right. How in the world can he block me? I thought all the enemies have no brains left in them.” Genesis’s thought.

[The muscular slender man raised his arms, and a dark power emitted from his hands. He puts his arms down and Genesis witnessed a new immense power that he has never seen before.]

“So, this thing can activate magic without chanting huh, and this power feels different. The power is not showy, but the atmosphere is being filled with fear.” A thought of Genesis while being anxious of the situation.

“Sword sharpen! 100%”

“Let’s see if you can guess this trick. If your gauntlets can resist my sharpened sword..”

“Knock back! 100%”

“I’ll just make sure I can push you in a distance to use my real power without harming my friends.”

[Genesis looked closely at the muscular slender man’s armour, he noticed that it has a great physical resistance above, and has no protection on its legs.]

“Heh.. Now, I know what to do.” Genesis said.

“The wagon is secured in the sewers!” Captain Rian informed everyone.

[The muscular slender man dashed towards Genesis with his intent to punch him with his fist covered with dark aura. Genesis also dashed towards the muscular slender man, then leaping towards it. The same strategy, Genesis shows his intent of penetrating the slender man, but used his gauntlets to block. Genesis continuously attacked the slender man with a consistent fast paced attack, the slender man is blocking and parrying all the attacks with its gauntlets and armour. A right opportunity came and Genesis initiated the plan, he shows that his intent was to penetrate the slender man’s head, so for the last time, he leaped towards it and when the slender man blocked it, he chanted.]

“Sword change! Akuma!” the sword gained weight.

[The muscular slender man used both of his elbows to increase its strength from the heavier sword of Genesis, and he knew that it would be a trap for the slender man. While fighting against strength, Genesis released his grip to the sword, landing on the ground with the same level as the slender man’s legs.]

“Power and Divine!” chanted by Genesis. This made the heavy sword disappear from the slender man’s elbow, making Genesis summon the two swords separated. Then, with a quick response while the slender man’s elbow is still in the air, Genesis penetrated the legs of the slender man, which made it fall into the ground, then Genesis struck its forehead with his right blade to kill it.

“Sword switch.. Devour” the two swords switched into a single long sword.

[Note: Power & Divine are the two swords Genesis used for battling with speed basis. Akuma is the heaviest sword that only one person wielded, this sword can weigh up to 1 ton or approximately 907 kilograms, a reason for being unwieldy and uncommon. Devour is an ‘absorb’ sword that he uses to steal the enemies information, to gain more skills and to read its memory before the death.]

“Absorb.” The muscular slender man was sucked towards the sword of Genesis, then seeing all the memories of the enemy he has slain, his expression seems confused and shocked at the same time.

“Necromancy.” Genesis’s thought.

[June 29, 1212; Great Fall Era – Present | Mechanical Enterprise Div. - Eben, Meccichuzan (11:00)]

            The Mechanical Enterprise Division’s Site has a hot atmosphere, forging blades, making weapons and shields, armours, making reserved cannons, arrow production and everything that has a connection towards battle and Sewers maintenance. Martha, Claude and Clark are with Jin’s Buster Sword.

“Alright, we are finished with the rust cleaning. Alright! Let’s start adding more metal scraps to this lovely sword, shall we?” Martha said.

“I’ve got it ready!” Clark informed the two that he has the metal scraps melted for the additional blade support.

“What type of metal are we using?” Martha asked Clark.

“Hmm.. I’ve melted 60% titanium, 8% osmium, 12% iridium, and the rest is steel, all combined together.” Clark answered.

“Perfect!” Martha replied.

“That would be a great support to the sword, most specially…” Claude paused.

“Specially what Claude?” Martha asked.

“That Sword… It’s not an ordinary sword.” Claude replied.

[Martha and Clark are both confused, they remained silent as they wait for Claude’s further explanation.]

“I carried it from Jin’s home to here, and since I cannot carry it in a longer state, I used my Body Enhancement magic. I casted it while you two were saying your goodbyes to Jin.” Claude continued his explanation.

“So, what do you mean by that?” Clark asked.

[A brief silence, Claude inhales heavily before speaking.]

“That Buster Sword’s blade… is made of Tungsten.” Claude added.

“What!?” Martha’s expression.

“No way! I thought Tungsten isn’t a good idea for a sword, knowing that it reduces someone’s physical attribute including speed, dexterity and agility.” Clark replied.

“That is the reason why we use 1045 or 1060 Carbon Steels that Salvagers collected for swords, it gives a good hardness and balance weight to every Swordsman.” Martha explained.

“There are two things that bothers me and baffles in my mind.” Claude confessed.

“What is it?” Martha asked.

“First, Jin only used One-hand when he wrapped it in a cloth and gave to me. How in the world can he lift this Tungsten Sword with only ‘one’ hand?”

“Second, Tungsten and Iridium Swords are descendants of Akuma, isn’t it? No one makes Tungsten Swords, most specially Blacksmiths, it is a forbidden craft a long ago. A master craftsman taught and lectured to his students who makes swords that, if they want to make a sword, make it balance as possible, light swords but weak materials are useless, strong materials but heavy swords is pointless. Make something that will make you swift, but strong. Since then, all of the leaders in every Islands and Continents prohibited making a Sword that is imbalanced, it was considered illegal back in the day.” Claude replied.

“Someone made a Buster Sword that is made out of Iridium … He was the first wielder of the Akuma, and he was pursued.” Claude added.

[November 6, 1166; Metamorphic Era – Past | Blanc Forest - Salsy, Meccichuzan (5:01)]

“Halt!” a scream of a Soldier.

A man is being chased in the forest, it was a pursuit of the soldiers and this man. Suddenly, the man stopped in one of the trees. Everyone is exhausted and they are heavily breathing.

“You know that it is illegal to make and use that sword, right?” a soldier asked in a distance while other soldiers are raising their swords and bows.

“I made it. It is mine, I don’t care about those stupid balance theories.” The man responded.

“Sorry, but it is against our Swordsmanship code, and if you continue to resist, we shall be forced to kill you, right here, right now.” The soldier replied.

“Then kill me, if you can.” Challenged by the man.

[The Swordsman soldiers dashed, and the bows shoot their arrows towards the man. Since they are many, and the Akuma Sword was heavy, the man was beaten, tortured and died with pride on his side. After the battle, the soldiers were about to take the Akuma Sword when it suddenly turned into ash. All the soldiers witnessed this phenomena, and they reported it to the King.]

“Nowadays, this type of Sword is not prohibited, but making a new one is never possible.” Claude said.

“The materials used in Akuma is quite hard to find, and it is really not necessary for battles.” Claude added.

“I also knew that you need tremendous amount of heat to melt Tungsten and a lot of time to sharpen the blade.” Martha replied.

“As a blacksmith, I want the best for every Swordsman that uses my services.” Clark replied as he stood up bringing the melted metal towards Martha.

“You mean, you are opposing Jin?” Martha asked.

“Of course not.” Clark replied.

[Martha and Claude looked at each other, confused with Clark’s response.]

“A swordsman fights on his will. Therefore, a sword that is close to its heart, whether balanced or unbalanced, heavy or light. It is not my right to tell him what to use or what to do, it depends on his style and swordsmanship.” Clark said.

[Martha and Claude’s confusion suddenly broke down, leaving their faces with a happy smile and it motivated them to repair Jin’s sword.]

“You’re right Clark. We don’t have the authority to tell the swordsman what to use or what to do. We can give them advice, but never manipulate their styles.” Martha’s thought.

“Did my speech made you fall in love with me Martha?” Clark teased Martha.

[Martha smacked Clark’s head]

“Ouch! This is the second time I was smacked by Martha today. I think my brain is bleeding because of that.” Clark’s mumble while rubbing his head.

“Let’s just continue doing this, shall we?” Claude said to them.

[Martha, Claude and Clark resumed their repairs with Jin’s sword.]

“Soldiers, open the wagon.” Captain Rian ordered the soldiers.

“Yes Ma’am!” the Soldiers replied.

[The Soldiers has half-opened the wagon, Genesis was running back and screaming.]

“Rian! Don’t open it!” Genesis screaming.
