Hezzin

My hands beside my body curled into fists, fear crawling into my body slowly as I fought the urge to dash into that stage and find a way to escape.

The pressure from the high ranking wolves has my omega wolf whining softly. I had to take deep, shaky breaths to calm myself.

“Sold!” I heard the auctioneer say.

“Let's go.” The guard placed his hand on my lower back, already leading me onto the stage.

I need to escape, and it's now, because I refuse to be a slave to an arrogant wolf.

I'd rather than let that happen, but before that, I'll make Marcus pay for doing this to me.

Even if it's the last thing I do.

As I came to stand beside the auctioneer, I felt cold sweat running down my back as I lifted my gaze to see the large crowd staring up at me. Their lecherous gazes trailing down my body.

At first, I felt irritated but when my gaze landed on a man with a gold mask on.

“Mate!” My wolf howled. The pull I felt after was faint, but undeniable.

“Don't tell me…”

“You aren't meant to sell her till later.” I snapped out of my daze when the male warden came to stand beside me.

“Got it.” The auctioneer muttered softly as the male warden proceeded to guide me backstage.

My gaze lingered on the gold masked man even as I stood behind the remaining omegas that had to be sold.

The auctioneer’s loud voice had turned distant in my ears as I had only one thought in my mind.

Of all the god-damned places to find a second chance mate, it had to be here, among monsters.

My wolf was restless, but I chose to ignore it.

All the people here reminded me of Marcus and I wanted to have nothing to do with them.

“Now, let's move to the next omega!” The auctioneer yelled, I pressed my eyes closed as a girl that looked no younger than mine got dragged outside with tears.

It has been almost an hour since the warden had pulled me back here, and all the other girls were nowhere to be seen as their owners had already come to collect them.

Now, there were only two of us left.

My heart skipped a beat each time the guard guided one of us outside and I almost yelled at him for slapping an omega across the face.

The room we were kept in was small and dark except from the small white bulb that hung in a corner of the room.

I didn't know the layout of the building, which means I wouldn't be escaping anytime soon.

As someone who had been trained to be an assassin from birth, I couldn't escape without having a plan.

I've escaped worse. But, I had no weapons and in this case…I could easily get overpowered.

I paced around in the dimly lit room, my index finger in my mouth as I chewed on it.

I can't let Marcus win.

I can't let him win.

This would be a huge stain on father's reputation.

Just then, two guards stepped off the stage and came straight to us. “You three, move!”

My eyes widened in disbelief, as one of the guards pushed me forward.

No.

This can't be happening! What happened to them selling me last?

Even though I had no idea why these people thought I had some value, I knew they wanted me as the finale, what changed?

The guard standing behind me slapped me on my lower back, snapping me out of my thoughts and causing me to stumble forward.

“Move it!” He ordered coldly.

The warriors' orders had me panicking slightly and as I took one step onto the stage, my legs trembled slightly.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I bit on my lower lip to control myself.

‘Hezzin, this isn't the time for you to cry’ I said to myself inwardly.

All I needed was a small opening and I wouldn't care what was going to happen next.

“Let us be quiet now. This is the time we've all been waiting for.” The auctioneer paused, the crowd going silent as the light illuminating the stage dimmed out.

Somehow, the soft sound of drumrolls echoed through the air, raising the tension.

With each band, I felt my heart almost jumping out of my chest.

Finally, the drumrolls stopped and a bright spotlight hit the three of us that stood on the stage.

I dug my fingers into my arm, trying to keep myself calm. The auctioneer's words had become nothing but a faint noise.

I could still feel the stares of the crowd on my body, all shamelessly imagining how I would look naked.

My stomach churned in disgust but I couldn't do anything about it. I just had to hold it in.

The crowd was divided into small groups, seated in semi circles but I could feel them…hundreds of eyes, waiting.

The spotlight made by skin feels hot, my wolf already seemed unbothered by the attention, but I wasn't.

“I present to you all, our most prized possessions! The finale of the night. These three omegas are said to have different kinds of rare skills!” The auctioneer began.

“The first omega is a healer. She can heal any kind of sickness and I guarantee it's a fine deal! And not to worry, it's tested.” He winked at the crowd, and I only frowned at his words.

When did omegas suddenly come to have special abilities?

Was it because of our status?

But they still couldn't do without us, the moon goddess knew what she was doing when she created us.

“The second omega has the ability to see into the future!”

The crowd went wild as they murmured about how much the Omega would be sold like she was some kind of goods.

Still I couldn't lose hope now.

Through the sunlight, I tried my best to make out where I could find an exit.

Like most shady auction houses back home, VIP guests were placed in compartments that had a full glass window meant for viewing.

From what I had seen so far, there was no exit.

“The third omega is one of the rarest kinds we've ever seen in the world.” The auctioneer said, the spotlight moving from the two other girls and pointing directly at me.

I flinched, pressing my eyes close to protect them from the harsh light.

“Throughout history, we know that there was a special type of werewolf capable of mass killing and instant healing. They are known as Moon hybrid's, and this young lady right here is the last of her kind!”

  • Slave to the Lycan King    Where You Belong

Hezzin After a few hours of driving, the car slowed down before it finally came to a stop. At first, I couldn't bring myself to move. I clutched the hem of my dress, my body remained still as I hoped to delay whatever waited for me out there. “Step out of the car,” Dante said flatly, pushing his side of the car open before stepping out. I took a deep breath and then pushed the car door open. The moment the car’s door slammed closed behind me, the cold hit me instantly. It wasn't the kind of cold I was used to. Back home, the air would go cold at times…but this was torture! I could feel the cold literally biting into my skin and as my eyes roamed around the area, I finally noticed it was actually snowing. The snow had covered most of the land, covering the roads, grounds, rooftop and even the trees were shrouded in thick layers of white. My bare feet were literally buried under the snow and I couldn't help but shiver slightly. People moved past us, dressed in thic

  • Slave to the Lycan King    Failing To Escape

HezzinI am an omega, but I have my own life to live, and I wasn't going to let any man dictate how it was going to be.I ran away from home without blinking, and I was going to do it once more. When we walked out of the dimly lit room, the cold stranger finally released my hand. Why? Because there was currently a large, slightly buffed man walking right behind me.Thankfully, they didn't place a bag over my head or a blindfold. Meaning I had a chance. Walking on my own, I watched the auctioneer sweet talk the cold stronger. Even the guards that were walking around us seemed tense, I frowned.I had a vague idea why they seemed scared, but it wasn't my business. Once I escaped I would like to see how they'd explain, of course while in their graves. Without the bag on my head, I could see the layout of the building as we were led through a dark corridor.Their shoes padded softly against the polished tiles. I was currently barefooted but the cool feeling from the tiles had me sighin

  • Slave to the Lycan King    Moon Hybrid

Hezzin. Small gasps and whispers echoed through the hall and even I was shocked by his claims. Me? A moon hybrid? Was this some sort of joke or had Marcus lied to them about what kind of wolf I was. This wasn't the first time I’d heard about moon hybrids, I heard of them as a child. My mother talked about how she wished to actually see one in action. They were omegas who were sought out by Lycan King's and even a few Alpha's in times of war. I thought they didn't exist, so why was I being called one? I scoffed, I didn't want to get in trouble with the client when they found out I wasn't what the auctioneer claimed to be.I looked back at the crowd that had now turned restless, their gaze fixed solely on me and it made me take a step back. “We start the bidding price at two million dollars!” The auctioneer began. “Three million dollars!”“Four million dollars!”“Four million dollars, going once, going twice…” “Fifteen million dollars!!” A fat man seated just in front of the sta

  • Slave to the Lycan King    Auction

HezzinTrusting and loving my mate had been the only mistake I made in this life. I was jolted awake by the sound of heavy boots thudding against the wooden floor. “Get your asses off the floor! It's time we get you all sold.” The warden yelled angrily, the groaning of a few female omegas filled the air as they pushed themselves to their feet. Not wanting to be left behind, I stood up from the cold floor, legs trembling, every muscle in my body ached at that one action. “Strip!” The male warden said once more, his words had me scoffing softly. Is this what I had been reduced to?Two weeks ago, I never imagined I'd be brought to a place like this. Two weeks had been a long time but still it didn't do anything to heal my broken heart, the cruel words of my mate were also a reminder of how foolish I had been.“We aren't destined to be together, Hezzin. So, I am sorry but we have to end this.” Marcus's words replayed in my ears numerous times, like someone had just given me a death s
