Moon Hybrid

Hezzin.

Small gasps and whispers echoed through the hall and even I was shocked by his claims.

Me? A moon hybrid? Was this some sort of joke or had Marcus lied to them about what kind of wolf I was.

This wasn't the first time I’d heard about moon hybrids, I heard of them as a child. My mother talked about how she wished to actually see one in action.

They were omegas who were sought out by Lycan King's and even a few Alpha's in times of war.

I thought they didn't exist, so why was I being called one?

I scoffed, I didn't want to get in trouble with the client when they found out I wasn't what the auctioneer claimed to be.

I looked back at the crowd that had now turned restless, their gaze fixed solely on me and it made me take a step back.

“We start the bidding price at two million dollars!” The auctioneer began.

“Three million dollars!”

“Four million dollars!”

“Four million dollars, going once, going twice…”

“Fifteen million dollars!!” A fat man seated just in front of the stage yelled, his large stomach jiggling slightly as he stared straight at me.

“Fifteen million dollars. Can anyone raise the price?” The auctioneer yelled, his voice cracking midway but he didn't seem to care.

My wolf stood at attention at their fierce bidding. Each time, a more ugly person would scream at the top of their lungs just to get ahead.

Couldn't they at least be handsome?

I took a deep breath, eyes scanning the hall once more.

I have to escape.

I can't stay here any longer. I had no idea what the client would do when they found out I was just an omega, who could communicate with her wolf but she couldn't shift.

Just when the tension in the room got higher, I felt it again.

My wolf whimpered, and I knew he was here. My eyes slowly moved to the dark corner of the auction room.

I squinted calmly checking if anyone was standing there. That corner of the room was so dark that I couldn't even see an outline, but I felt it.

Like a small pull tugging at my heart, making my wolf whimper in nothing but absolute submission.

The feeling scared me. If that person was truly my second chance mate, why wasn't he approaching me?

Was he planning on rejecting me too?

I couldn't exactly blame him for being a coward still. Men!

“Seventy million dollars!” The auctioneer announced, raising his mallet. “Going once, going twice…so—”

“Three hundred million dollars.” A cold and deep voice cut through the noise, the crowd falling silent almost immediately.

“Mate!”

My wolf blurted, as I felt something close to fear run down my back. I shuddered, just his voice was enough to make me like this?

The fear wasn't like the bad one, it’s like a feeling that leaves you breathless.

Why was this happening?

I frowned, turning my head in the direction where the voice came from. The silence in the air still remained, the guests looked gobsmacked, and all because of that damned voice.

I bit on my lower lip, shaking my head slightly trying to get my wolf to snap out of it.

We had one goal, that was to escape and return back to my pack.

“Three hundred million dollars, going to our VIP member.”

The auctioneer's voice echoed through the air and in an instant, murmurs from the crowd filled the air.

I flinched, finding it difficult to breathe as their words, though hushed, reached my ears.

“Why didn't he mention the name of the buyer?”

“That's because it's the attendant of one of the four Lycan King's.” Another one commented, and I could hear the curiosity dripping out of his words.

“Oh my gosh! Which one do you think it is?”

The whispers flew into the air, all trying to figure out which Lycan King had bought me, they talked but they didn't have the courage to investigate properly.

Even I, that had been sold, could feel it. I was in big trouble, why did they have to lie about my identity?

And why does my buyer have to be a god-damned Lycan? He was going to rip my head off my body when he found out.

At this point, I'd rather have whoever my mate was reject me.

I couldn't be a slave to my mate's boss…or something like that.

Everyone knew how dangerous a Lycan King could be. Currently, we have just four lycan kings in existence.

Each one of them possessing a unique trait and personality but one thing was for sure, they'd kill without blinking.

The curious gazes of the audience on me changed to one of pity. Yes, I pity myself too.

“Well folks, we've come to the end of today's auction. We'll see you all next time with more rare commodities.” The auctioneer said some guests were already walking out of the hall. “Please, all buyer's, meet behind the curtain to complete your transactions. Thank you.”

With that, a large red curtain fell over and I felt like whatever spell that had held me in place loosened.

I took in a deep breath, running my hand through my hair. My heart pounded violently against my ribcage, but there was nothing I could do to stop it.

“Get the girl moving, we don't have all day!” The auctioneer yelled already going behind the stage and I instantly felt myself being shoved forward.

I stumbled, something catching my foot, before I could fall face flat on the floor. I felt an arm wrapped around my waist and someone tugged me backwards.

“You should be careful. We don't want the king to make a quick trip here, now do we?” A cold indifferent voice sounded behind me. “He doesn't want a scratch on his precious omega, let's keep it that way.”

I swallowed hard, the lifelessness in his tone made me want to step out of his embrace instantly.

I glanced over my shoulder, taking a small peek at the man.

He was handsome, dressed in a casual all black outfit but the professional air around him made him look…sexy?

If he hadn't said those words or I didn't know who he was, I would've thought he was some random gigolo. But sadly, the gun that peeked out of his pants said otherwise.

“Let go.” I said firmly. The man behind me chuckled softly but his hold around my waist loosened and I instantly stepped away from him.

The auctioneer cleared his throat, his lips curled into a forced and nervous smile.

“Yes, yes. We are so sorry about that. We just wanted everyone done quickly.” He apologized, bowing slightly.

“Save your excuses for someone who actually wants to hear it.” The cold looking man muttered with an eye roll. “Here is your money,”

The man said, throwing a black briefcase at the auctioneer. The foolish mutt dodge but thankfully, the warden standing behind him caught it smoothly.

“That's part payment. You'll get the rest when she's safely escorted to the vehicle.” The cold looking man said calmly.

“Yes, we'll get to it immediately.” The auctioneer responded, nodding his head whilst proceeding to call for his men.

I kept my gaze lowered, fiddling with my fingers and calmly hoping the cold looking man would literally forget I was here.

When the auctioneer returned with his men, I took a step away from him but a hand grabbed mine before I could take another.

I snapped my head towards the cold looking man that was now standing beside me, with a small smirk on his lips.

“Let's go and little omega, I wouldn't try escaping if I was you.” He started nonchalantly, before turning to lead the way while pulling me along.

He knew I wanted to escape. But what does he mean by I shouldn't try it?

It was shameful enough that they sold, but I wouldn’t be following them without a fight.

  • Slave to the Lycan King    Failing To Escape

HezzinI am an omega, but I have my own life to live, and I wasn't going to let any man dictate how it was going to be.I ran away from home without blinking, and I was going to do it once more. When we walked out of the dimly lit room, the cold stranger finally released my hand. Why? Because there was currently a large, slightly buffed man walking right behind me.Thankfully, they didn't place a bag over my head or a blindfold. Meaning I had a chance. Walking on my own, I watched the auctioneer sweet talk the cold stronger. Even the guards that were walking around us seemed tense, I frowned.I had a vague idea why they seemed scared, but it wasn't my business. Once I escaped I would like to see how they'd explain, of course while in their graves. Without the bag on my head, I could see the layout of the building as we were led through a dark corridor.Their shoes padded softly against the polished tiles. I was currently barefooted but the cool feeling from the tiles had me sighin

  • Slave to the Lycan King    Second chance mate?!

HezzinMy hands beside my body curled into fists, fear crawling into my body slowly as I fought the urge to dash into that stage and find a way to escape. The pressure from the high ranking wolves has my omega wolf whining softly. I had to take deep, shaky breaths to calm myself. “Sold!” I heard the auctioneer say. “Let's go.” The guard placed his hand on my lower back, already leading me onto the stage. I need to escape, and it's now, because I refuse to be a slave to an arrogant wolf. I'd rather than let that happen, but before that, I'll make Marcus pay for doing this to me. Even if it's the last thing I do. As I came to stand beside the auctioneer, I felt cold sweat running down my back as I lifted my gaze to see the large crowd staring up at me. Their lecherous gazes trailing down my body. At first, I felt irritated but when my gaze landed on a man with a gold mask on. “Mate!” My wolf howled. The pull I felt after was faint, but undeniable. “Don't tell me…”“You aren't

  • Slave to the Lycan King    Auction

HezzinTrusting and loving my mate had been the only mistake I made in this life. I was jolted awake by the sound of heavy boots thudding against the wooden floor. “Get your asses off the floor! It's time we get you all sold.” The warden yelled angrily, the groaning of a few female omegas filled the air as they pushed themselves to their feet. Not wanting to be left behind, I stood up from the cold floor, legs trembling, every muscle in my body ached at that one action. “Strip!” The male warden said once more, his words had me scoffing softly. Is this what I had been reduced to?Two weeks ago, I never imagined I'd be brought to a place like this. Two weeks had been a long time but still it didn't do anything to heal my broken heart, the cruel words of my mate were also a reminder of how foolish I had been.“We aren't destined to be together, Hezzin. So, I am sorry but we have to end this.” Marcus's words replayed in my ears numerous times, like someone had just given me a death s
