I was back from the library still thinking about what I had read in the books. Nothing talked about how to heal a wolf so I didn’t know how to help Manuel with that.

I didn’t know he had been suffering because he was mateless. Was that what he had wanted to talk to me about?

It was strange because I have never heard of such a thing and he was the first werewolf-vampire hybrid to exist in 500 years.

From the stories I heard when I was little, the last hybrid was killed by his father 500 years ago because he couldn't control himself and ended up draining his own mother when the full moon was at its peak.

Is that what happened to Manuel's father? Did he… a cold chill ran down my spine and I shivered.
