Chapter 7

"Hmm..." Lyca grumbled in irritation. She doesn't open her eyes as she holds on to something. Since it was cold outside, she put her arms around the person next to her to keep warm.

"Princess, the sun is shining at its brightest. I'm afraid I can't let you continue your sleep, "Xavier told Lyca something in her ear.

Lyca quickly opened her eyes when she heard Xavier's voice. The first thing she saw was his broad chest. It turns out that Xavier's body is the warm thing that puts her to sleep. Lyca moves away right away to hide the shame she was feeling.

"You — you rude and rude man! I told you to stay away from me last night." Lyca screams very loudly to hide her shame.

Xavier sneered. "I did... But you hugged me all night long, so I don't have a choice "He replied and stood up with confidence.

Lyca couldn't turn away from Xavier's naked body because she had already seen it. Last night, she was in a lot of pain, so she didn't notice how Xavier looked. But now that she's feeling better, this scene makes her blush and makes her hot.

"I wasn't thinking straight last night. So, I didn't choose to do what I did, "Lyca thought about something while she looked away from Xavier.

After looking at Lyca for a moment, Xavier walked over to pick up their clothes. He asked Lyca, "How are you feeling?" and then threw the clothes at her.

Lyca quickly put on her clothes to cover her body. "Last night I almost died. How do you think I feel?"

Xavier shrugged as he put the clothes over his shoulders "You did a great job for your first time. I'm sure you'll be fine on your own the next time."

Her eyes got bigger. "What do you mean when we meet again?"

Xavier did not come out of the cave anymore. He looked back at Lyca and just stared. "... Little princess, you can't change or get away from this now. So, you should just give up, forget who you used to be, and live like us..."

Lyca's face showed her shock and surprise right away. "What do you mean?! You already know why I want to live! You can't say that I should forget everything!" Lyca's rage blew up. She got up quickly and walked over to Xavier. "All of it is your fault! I wouldn't have been through this if you hadn't bitten me." Lyca punched Xavier in the chest over and over again because she was angry.

Since he was to blame in this situation, Xavier let Lyca vent all her anger. "Then learn how to shift... If you want to leave this place and keep going on your crusade, you need to train and make it through the next shift in the force." When Lyca calmed down, Xavier said yes.

Lyca wiped away her tears and moved away from Xavier a little. "Force shift? What do you mean?"

Xavier sighed. "When we get back home, I'll tell you everything. Let's swim for now... The water can make your body less stiff." Xavier didn't wait to see what Lyca would say. He turned around quickly and dove into the water.

Lyca signed, and she had to do what Xavier said. She said, "I hope something good comes out of these new changes," as she went into the water.

Lyca saw some changes in herself while she was swimming. She could hear the little sounds around her and smell herself getting stronger, so she got out of the water and dressed right away.

"What's the matter?" Xavier asked, noticing that Lyca was frowning.

When Lyca looks at Xavier, her eyes get big. "Are you listening? I think someone is keeping an eye on us."

When Xavier laughed out loud, Lyca stopped talking. She was confused by his behavior. "...Laughing at other people is rude!" Lyca gave a snort of irritation.

When Xavier saw Lyca frown, he quickly stopped laughing, but his smile stayed. "There are good things about being a wolf, like having a strong body and quick reflexes. Your six senses will also improve." Xavier told me while he was putting his pants on.

(So Xavier's wolf is the reason he has such a great body?) Lyca thought this as she looked at Xavier's big chest.

"Hey, stop thinking about something else, and listen to me!" Xavier asserted. In reality, Lyca's innocent look had an effect on him... In fact, he is still having trouble getting rid of Lyca's naked look.

"I'm not! Everything you said was clear to me!" Lyca quickly denied it and turned her attention to something else. But her heart says something different. Lyca won't admit it, but she can't help but notice how handsome Xavier is.

"Fine... Anyway, as I said, you can do things now that you couldn't do before... Like jumping high and running fast. Want to see how fast you can run right now?" Xavier sneered.

Lyca didn't take a long time to answer Xavier. Instead, she ran off to find out what was going on. "Wow! Amazing! I can see everything very well!" As she ran as fast as the wind, Lyca yelled. She can see the bugs and plants sticking out of the ground, so she stays away from them right away.

Then she saw a wild boar running quickly. "Let's test my speed!" Lyca said something and then turned to go after the animal. Lyca was so focused on the chase that she didn't realize she was leaving the dark forest. Since she could only see the wild boar in her hand, she couldn't see anything else.

"Got you!" Lyca said this as she touched the animal, but a strong arm grabbed her before she could fully hold it.

Due to the speed of the event, Lyca took a moment to react. When she did, she turned around to see the owner's hand around her.

"Xavier?! What's the matter?! I nearly caught the wild boar!" Lyca pushes Xavier, and her annoyed eyes get smaller. It's her first time hunting, but Xavier just ruined it for her.

Xavier stays serious and calm. "...You're at the end of the Mystic Forest!" he said, pointing to the huge tree just a few inches away from where they were standing.

Lyca didn't know what the difference was, so she didn't care. "Then what? Everything is the same to me!"

Turning around, Xavier walked away. "Follow me if you want to know everything."

Lyca frowned and had no choice but to agree. "... What's with all the mystery?" she asked quietly as she walked.
