After Maria left the room reluctantly, I looked at Scarlett who was now sleeping peacefully while her head was resting on my chest. From her face, she looked content and at ease.

I sighed, closing my eyes as I was thinking of a way to let them meet. Hunter growled at me suddenly at my thoughts.

" Don't make this difficult for me," I said to him. He didn't reply to me and went silent.

I looked at her again as I possessively wrapped my arm around her shoulder. I don't why I am feeling like she belongs to me.

" To us," Hunter growled, this time it sounded possessive and angry. I didn't respond to him.

I placed Scarlett gently on the bed making sure not to wake her up, I placed a pillow under her head and she stirred a bit before going back to sleep again. I need her to be fully recovered before I search for my answers.
