Chapter Eleven

Evie was thrilled.

When her father disclosed the reason, her mate had stopped the war..she was really happy.

Was this the reason he had begun the war at all? All he had to do was send a letter that he wanted her as his mate and she would have run down there even if her parents never wanted her to.

She bit her lips and smiled when she walked out of the palace rooms.

"Hey." Gwendolyn was the first to approach.

"Are you okay? Was he badly hurt?" She asked.

"Father was hurt, but it's not deep. It's just a flesh wound, and by the way..it wasn't intentional." Evie couldn't help the smile that formed on her lips.

"It seems like something happened; do tell." Gwendolyn smiled as well, pushing closer to her friend, who had taken a seat on the bench.

Maids had begun to clean the floor they had littered with paints.

"Where's Ethan?" Evie asked, looking around.

"Here he is. Do you mind adding a little salt to that? It's going to clean with ease." Ethan walked back to the fountain with a little sal
