17 We're Not Safe, Julian.

At the Groundroot pack.

Julian could be seen sitting in the dining room with her cousin's brother, Julian. The only people who were not present in the dining room were her husband, who went to visit his friend in another pack.

The second person who wasn't present was her mother-in-law, who declined to eat lunch, saying she wasn't hungry, nor did she have an appetite to eat anything.

“Thank you for helping her. Who knows if she had been dead by now if you didn't help her escape?” said Luna Charlotte with a giggle.

“Well, I have told you why I agreed to help her in the first place,” Julian responded.

“Sure. That's why it's good to help others, so someone might also help your family members tomorrow, even in your absence. This is what we say, ‘Help others because you don't know what tomorrow holds’. The help her mom rendered to you has saved her.”

Julian nodded and began to devour the food set before him. He looks so famished, as though he hasn't eaten for weeks.
