Damon

“Ahhh!!!!” A piercing scream echoed. I hadn't even begun yet,it was just a tip of the iceberg and here he was screaming.

“Shhh.” I said as I raised my hands to my lips. I walked up to the man who was tied to an electric chair with a nail plucker in my hands. The man looked at my hands and began trembling as he saw the nail plucker in my hands.

“Each time you refuse to talk

, your nails would be plucked out.” I said looking at him coldly.

“Who sent you?.” I asked. The torture room went quiet. He refused to talk.

“Hmmm, I see. You're a loyal one.” I said as I reached out for his hands, which was bounded to the chair. I slowly plucked the nail on his thumb, to make sure he feels the pain.

He let out a spine chilling scream, louder than before. One by one, I carefully plucked out all the nails from his fingers. His fingers were bleeding profusely. The man was exhausted from the pain and wanted to pass out. I pressed a switch on the wall. The electric chair buzzed, electrocuting the man and stopping him from passing out.

My right hand man Julian, stood at a Corner watching with no expression on his face.

“Get me the revolver with bullets coated in midnight myrrh.” I commanded. Julian bowed, and fished out the revolver from under his shirt. He walked towards me and placed it in my hands.

“Time to burn some flesh and bones.” I said, chuckling. I pointed the gun at his toes and shot,he wriggled and tried to get off the chair to no avail.

I looked at his toes where I had shot and noticed something. Normally, his toe was suppose to burn and fall but it didn't. It only left a scratch.

I looked at Julian, and we both understood what was wrong. The midnight myrrh delivered was fake.

“Well, well, well. I think we need to pay someone a visit.” I said,a wicked grin on my face.

“Let’s go Julian.” I said.

“Yes boss.”

I looked at the man tied to a chair and offered him a sweet smile. “Don't worry, I'll be back. Don't miss me roo much.”

The pilgrim market was bustling with activities as usual. On the surface the pilgrim’s market was for churches but illegal stuff took place behind the scene.

It seems the Miraj had forgotten who I was, his fear of me was going down,it needed to be revived. The audacity he had for selling fake things to me to make profits.

His shop was at the back of pilgrims market, where illegal business takes place.

We arrived at his large shop and we were let in. He looked very enthusiastic to see us, if only he knew what was coming for him.

“Sir Damien, to what do I owe this surprise visit?” He asked.

I smiled as I placed my hands on his shoulder where he sat beside us.

“My good man, am I not allowed to pay you a visit,eh? Or is there something you're hiding?” I asked with a mischievous grin on my face.

His eyes flickered in fear, but he covered it with a smile.

Good. I thought I had gotten the confirmation I needed.

“I can't possibly hide anything from you my lord.” He said bowing.

“Really?” I taunted and he nodded vigorously.

For someone trying to cheat me,he was quite dumb. He didn't get the signal that I already knew of his escapades.

I brought out two guns from my pocket, he darted his eyes from Julian to me. He finally understood what was going on.

He began to shake and move back.

“You see, in these two guns one contains a bullet coated with the potent midnight myrrh poison you had delivered as good boy. The other contains the fake ones you delivered last time.” I said, playing with the guns in my hands.

“It seems I’ve been too lenient. Don't you think so, Julian?” I asked.

“Yes boss.” Julian replied while bowing.

Miraj was shaking on the floor.

“I’m soo..soo..sorry, my lord.” He stuttered.

“I didn't mean to, I only wanted to make profits.” He said, bursting into tears.

“Owww don't cry my good man, I won't be killing you if that's why you're crying. I’ll give you a chance.” I said, patting his head.

He didn't believe me, the look in his eyes was sceptical. But he still thanked me.

“I won't kill you, but let's play a little game.” I said, smiling wickedly.

“Julian, tie him to that pole.” I commanded.

“Yes boss.” Julian said as he dragged Miraj and tied him to the pole.

Miraj's eyes widened like saucers, “You said you wouldn't kill me.” He shouted crying.

“Yes I did, and I won't go back on my words. But a little lesson won't hurt, will it?” I said smiling.

I faced him with the two guns in my hands, I corked them both and I closed my eyes.

I shot at him, from the first gun containing the bullet coated in the fake Midnight Myrrh. He let out a shriek, and I opened my eyes. The bullet had hit him on his right hand, his skin was only scratched as it was the fake one.

I closed my eyes again and pointed the gun at him, this time I aimed lower. I shot, he let out a heart wrenching scream. When I opened my eyes, I smiled at the scene I saw. His left leg was tearing and cutting and then it fell down. The poison had eaten off the flesh and bones of his left leg. His blood splattered everywhere.

“Tch, so noisy.” I said.

“Untie him, Julian.” I commanded.

Julian moved to him and untied him. He was still screaming and holding his leg.

“Goodbye my good man.” I waved at him before leaving with Julian.

As we walked through the market, I heard noises. I looked in the direction and saw an open hall, an auction was taking place. Slaves were being sold.

I didn't have interest in buying those dirty things called slaves, when I could get better, willing women who were ready to throw themselves at me for my pleasures.

I was about to look away when something caught my eyes, a pair of innocent blue eyes looking at the crowd with different emotions, fear, disgust and hatred.

I squinted my eyes as I saw the owner of those eyes. It was a young girl who looked within the range of seventeen to nineteen years. She sat on the stage, naked with her body full of bruises. Her eyes were red and puffy, which I guessed was from crying.

Her long black hair looked dirty and stuck on her body. For some reason I couldn't explain, I was suddenly interested in buying this blue eyed slave. I could hear the auctioneer’s voice shouting and talking about the pleasures she could give those who bought her.

I walked towards the hall with Julian following me without questions. The auctioneer started the bidding, and I patiently waited for the last person to bid.

As he was about to land a deal, I spoke to the hearing of the entire hall.

“Three hundred million gold coins.”

The people in the hall began whispering and looking back, to see the person who had bid such a ridiculously high amount for a slave.

“What?!!, three hundred million gold coins for a slave? Who does that!! A voice said.

“The slave is pretty but I probably won't spend more than a hundred thousand gold coins on her.” Another chirped, as they faced back to look at me, shock evident in their faces.

With all eyes on me, I only looked at one person, the blue eyed slave. I could see her eyes wander round the crowd before it settled on me, looking at me in shock.

Damon's povI held onto the petite body that had clearly gone too far with just five shots. She was tipsy—drunk, even—and trying hard to mask it. This little girl had done her best to keep her secret from her friends, especially since she was mine. My pet. My desired pet.She had pushed herself, going as far as taking five shots just to keep her truth buried. Now she looked all tangled up, dizzy and flushed."Nope. She’s my woman," I said bluntly. As for Zach—just being here made my skin crawl. His presence was the worst. I had half a mind to shove him into the wall, but I didn’t want to ruin the girls' party."What?!" the girl called Scott exclaimed. She had been leaning unsteadily against my side, reeking of cheap perfume that invaded my nostrils and turned my stomach. There was disappointment etched across her face, but I couldn’t be bothered. Desperate women were the kind I despised most, and Scott fit the description perfectly. Every gesture, every touch, irritated me.Turning to

Look what I found under the table!” she said, rising up with a ring box in her hand.“Oh my gosh!” Ava and Mia exclaimed in unison.“Who was about to propose today? Or did I ruin the surprise?” Scott asked, a slight blush spreading across her face.“I wonder the same,” Ava added, glancing at the two gentlemen seated beside me. But they were enemies—complete opposites in everything. As we speculated over who had planned a surprise proposal, a man who looked to be in his early thirties walked by, scanning the room as if he were searching for something.“Oh my goodness!” he gasped. “That ring is expensive! I was about to propose, but she turned me down... So I dropped it under the table and forgot wher

  • Sold to Mr. Mafia   CHAPTER 78: DAMON

Iris’s povCut in the middle, I sat obediently, watching everything as it unfolded.I wanted to leave, to sell quickly and get out, but Andrew kept making matters worse.Meanwhile, Scott was being overly attentive to Damon, offering him high-level service like he was royalty."Iris, if you don't mind, can we continue our conversation?" Andrew asked, clearly trying to pull my attention back.I glanced at Damon, and of course, he didn’t bother hiding his reaction. His brows furrowed deeply into a frown. But this was Damon—he had beaten Andrew before. So what was holding him back now? Was it because of Scott? No way. Damon was a monster in his own right.I nodded in response to Andrew, wishing I could just dig a hole and bury myself beneath it.I had actually liked...“Oh fUCK— my gosh!” Scott suddenly exclaimed.I turned to her, just in time to see she’d spilled a bowl of soup all over Damon’s pants.I instinctively stood up, grabbing a small towel from the side. I dabbed at his pants q

  • Sold to Mr. Mafia   CHAPTER 77- OUTSIDE IDENTITY

Iris’s POVMoney?A fake name? And a grudge with Damon?I remembered when he’d mentioned Damon back at my tiny apartment. I hadn’t taken him seriously. But now, knowing he was once beaten nearly to death by Damon—punched repeatedly, left almost lifeless—it all feels too real.I had tried my very best to care for him, to tend to his wounds and stand up for him. But before that, he’d done far worse to me.I don’t understand any of it. I still don’t. Whose side am I supposed to take?Yes, Andrew has helped me—helped me a lot. When I had almost lost hope, sitting alone on a cold metal chair under the harsh, relentless storm, it was him who found me, who offered a hand. But what I didn’t understand was why he treated me the way he did that night. Why did Damon hit him? And why did Damon keep calling him “Zach”?Who is he?"Little miss, you’ve come so far and forgotten me already, huh?" Andrew said, dragging out a chair and sitting beside me.“Here, Iris. Have a bowl of soup. I’ll get you s

  • Sold to Mr. Mafia   CHAPTER 76: ZACH

Damon’s povLeaning back in the chair, I exhaled deeply.Three months. Three long months of dealing with Zach, and still….no damn success.“Fuck!” I yelled, slamming the laptop shut and shoving it across the desk with force. My fist collided with the wall, pain flaring instantly as blood dripped down my knuckles. I lit a cigarette, letting the smoke coil lazily around me.I couldn't believe it. I was already losing to that maniac. Not just losing—I had already lost more than enough.Or maybe I’d been letting my emotions cloud my judgment, recently this wasn't me I seem to have been slacking off on my prey.It was time to be ruthless. Calculated.I kicked the chair aside and stumbled out of the room, only to bump into David.“Apologies, boss,” he said immediately, standing upright and bowing so low I almost rolled my eyes.“What brings you here?” I asked, voice low and sharp.“Miss just woke up, sir. She’s had breakfast.”I sighed inwardly. I missed my little girl so damn much I’d orde

  • Sold to Mr. Mafia   CHAPTER 75: ANDREW

Iris’s povStretching my numb body, I slipped through the sheets, thanks to Damon’s absence, I’d actually slept well for once.Although I had him and his boundless energy to thank or blame for that. I often wondered how he managed to last so long. That man was relentless.Time had flown. I glanced around the empty room before walking toward the mirror, catching my reflection in the glass.I wasn’t sure what was going on with me lately. All I’d wanted to do was eat and sleep. That was it.It had already been three full months since Damon returned, since that night when I’d heard him whisper those three words…I love you.I missed him. A lot. And I still wasn’t sure I’d truly heard him say it. Maybe it had been a dream. Or maybe not. Regardless, I was certain of one thing, I’d fallen for the monster. My stomach suddenly let out a loud growl."Yep. There’s my morning alarm," I muttered to myself. I’d gotten used to living alone without Damon. I had planned on getting a job more than once,
